LOTS OF GOOD THINGS
HAVE NOT BEEN CANCELED
TITHING & SACRIFICIAL GIVING
NOT CANCELED
Many things have been brought to light by the massive social disruption occasioned by the corona virus. Among them is the fact that our church cannot meet our many financial obligations simply through the checks and currency placed in the collection basket when worshippers come to Mass. It looks like the time has come for a much larger portion of our church members to begin contributing via electronic means. Elsewhere in this bulletin is information as to how you can give ONLINE or through ELECTRONIC FUND TRANSFERS. These are completely secure means of giving under the complete control of each contributor. FOR THE TIME BEING YOU MAY MAIL IN YOUR ENVELOPES.

SACRIFICIAL GIVING
What kind of giving is considered sacrificial? It’s the kind
that families do daily when it comes to taking good care of
each other. It often involves some pain or self-denial. It’s not
that different when it comes to our parish family. We take
good care of each other by contributing our fair share to
fund the missionary and operational expenses of the
church. We give not from what is left over, but from all that
we have. We give out of gratitude more than obligation.
Have you reviewed your sacrificial giving recently? Might it
be time to do so?
FEBRUARY FINANCIAL SUMMARY
REVENUE: Sacrificial Giving $ 61,491 Charity (Poor Box, Pac-A-Sac) 971 Building Fund 5,006 Other Income 6,579 TOTAL INCOME: $ 74,047 TOTAL EXPENSES: 64,132 NET REVENUE: $ 9,915
As Christ-followers, we need to remember that our God is a “refuge and strength, a very present help in
time of trouble” (Ps. 46:1). God has not given us a spirit of fear. We should not panic. Our Heavenly Father is
still the all-knowing, ever-present, omnipotent God.

DEBBIE KAMPHAUS
PARISH NURSE
How can I continue to contribute to the support of the parish while Masses are canceled? Folks have been asking this question. Here are some ways you can do so during this time of social distancing.
You can go to our website or our parish app and look for the Online Giving icon. Once there you will be directed to set up an account. You can use the service as needed or you can set up a recurring amount to be deducted from your bank account or charged to a credit card.
Electronic funds transfer (EFT) are electronic transfer of money from one bank account to another. You can request a form from the parish office.
OR, JUST MAIL YOUR ENVELOPES TO THE PARISH OFFICE

YOUTH MINISTRY RENEWAL UNDERWAY
So far, more than a dozen individuals have made a commitment to be part of our new Youth & Young Adult Task Force. Fr. Jack, Tommie Tran, and our Coordinators, Mike Jaques and Lynn Yingling will have a meeting on Monday to prepare an agenda for our initial meeting. The process of re-imagining how we minister both with and for our younger members will take time. Your prayers for the success of this endeavor will be greatly appreciated.

ALL PARISH BASED CHRISTIAN FORMATION SESSIONS UNTIL AFTER EASTER
This policy was occasioned by the public health policies that forbid gathering in large groups of people (no more than 10). This means the focus on how to live a Christian life shifts to every individual home and family. There is a website called Formed (https://formed.org/) which can be accessed through our parish website which provides many opportunities for growth and devotion. it has links to televised Masses, the rosary, stations of the cross and many videos which can help us grow in faith.
OUR PARISH CODE IS BHKQCW
JOURNEY OF FAITH
One of the biggest impacts of the Archbishop’s unprecedented decision to cancel even the Solemn Celebrations of Holy Week and Easter is that the Sacramental Initiation of our Catechumens and Candidates will have to be postponed.
We are in the process of coming up with alternative ways to help them complete their preparation that will truly make them ready to become faithful disciples of Jesus Christ.
The sponsors will need to step up and offer more direct guidance and direction, but we will also be sending out links to good online materials.
