Sister Kay, Joshua, Ami and I added our voices to a larger effort to preach the

Lord Jesus Christ, His Word and Will to all those attending the 4th of July

festivities in downtown Marietta, Georgia. Bro. Ron May and his wife drove

down from Cartersville, GA. Bro. Ron brought a very large cross that he

carried along the entire parade route from start to finish. Bro. Greg Shlapek

and his daughter, Bro. Jeff Garner and his wife, Bro. Jamie Cuneos, his wife

and children along with Bro. Zach Baxter and several others spent several

hours publically declaring the message of repentance and faith in our Lord

and Savior.

We passed out many tracts as we stood along the parade route with our

banner held high. We also passed out tracts along the parade route and

preached on the subject of the God of the Bible, Salvation in Jesus name and

no other, the necessity of godly repentance and of being born again to enter

the Kingdom of heaven. We had several hecklers that did not agree with the

message we were bringing to bear upon those in the crowd but they were out

numbered by those who were glad to demonstrate their support of the Gospel

message. Bro. Carl and Sis. Michelle along with their children were there from

Fellowship Baptist Church, they stood and applauded the public declaration of

the Gospel as we passed them by along the parade route. Sis. Kay had a very

intense debate with a young man who was a professing Catholic. He

considered the Bible to be nothing more than mythology at best but he could

not withstand the Spirit of the Lord upon Sis. Kay as she rebuked his lack of

faith and his false religion.

Bro. Zach wore a sandwich board sign boldly declaring the command of our

Lord to all who would be saved. He passed out many tracts, preached inside

Glover Park and around the Square for an hour while we waited for the

Parade to begin. Overall it was a very good day for open air preaching and

the public proclamation of the Gospel. We thank the Lord Jesus Christ for the

privilege of working in the harvest fields and fishing for souls.

Mt 9:38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth

labourers into his harvest. (KJV)

Thank you for your prayers…please continue to pray for us that we may be

able to press on and continue the work.

Ac 19:23 And the same time there arose no small stir about that way.
