Is charger connected to A.C.? If NO connect to a good A.C. Circuit

Verify there is A.C. power at the charger. Does the A.C. L.E.D. light?

Is any Green or Yellow LED flashing?

Replace Battery Charger

Go to Page 3 Fault Box

Is the A.C. LED lit and the batteries not charged

LEDProblemSuggested SolutionA.C. The A.C. Power supply is LowCheck the A.C. circuit and if Low see if there is a different circuit for charging. Will not harm the charger but will extend charging timesAmmeterReduced charging currentBe sure charger is properly ventilated. If no causes for over heating is found, Replace charger 80%Short Flash battery pack is less than 80%charged Long Flash battery pack is over 80% charged Normal Operation. If this LED nevers changes stages to 100% Replace charger100%Flashing is battery is in the finish stage

Steady is battery is charged This can last serval hours and indicates normal operationSINGLE REMOTE L.E.D.Flashing GreenAt a rate of once per secondBatteries are charging. Time LED is on /Off is the state of chargeRate of 1 flash per 1.5 to 2 seconds or flashes a number of times and then pausesA battery is not detected and the number of flashes indicates the charge algorithm. Check all battery connectionsFlashing YellowReduced charging current due to high internal charger temperaturesInsure charge is ventalated and the cooling fins are not dirty

FAULT CODES EXPLAINATION (RED led Flashing)1 FlashOpen battery cell or open circuitCheck the batteries and wiring. Once the fault is cleared the charger will auto reset. 2 FlashesLow battery voltage was sensedBad Battery or loose connctions. Charger will not start if the battery voltage is too low3 FlashesCharger charge cycle timed out. Once the fault is correected the charger must be unplugged from AC power and wait minimum of 30 seconds and then reconnectWas a different batterysize or type just installed? If so check to make sure battery is for this machine. Was the ambient temperature hotter than normal. If so insure the charger is not over heating. Insure good ventalation and cooling fins are clean. If everything is OK Repalce Charger4 FlashesCharger could not complete the final charging stageCheck batteries for bad cells or low water and battery wiring. If no problem found Replace Charger5 FlashesCharger has reached maximum internal temperature Once the fault is corrected the charger must be unplugged from AC power and wait minimum of 30 seconds and then reconnectWas the ambient temperature hotter than normal. Once the fault is corrected the charger must be unplugged from AC power and wait minimum of 30 seconds and then reconnectCheck batteries, Check battery connections, With A.C. power OFF, check continuity between the Green wire Red wires on the D.C. Output. If no continuity fuse blown Repalce Charger

FROM PAGE 2 Final Verification

As a final verification check of the charging system

1. Disconnect AC power from the battery charger

2. Turn key switch ON and verify machine functions work

3. Connect AC power to the battery charger

4. Verify Charger goes through the initialization stage

5. Verify that all machine functions turn OFF

6. Use a current meter to verify at the battery pack the charger is putting out the Amperage displayed on the charger. If not check wiring
