• Not everyone has time to Feel, Look and Tilt every single banknote which passes the counter.

• We’ve selected FOUR of the best counterfeit detection features that can speed up the process of a banknotes authenticity, before it enters the till.

• The recommended features are UV, IR, ICD and MG.

UV – Ultra Violet

Ultra Violet Light detection is used to highlight small UV Ink fibres embedded in a banknote.

ICD – Intelligent Code DetectorIntelligent Code Detector (ICD) technology determines whether a banknote is genuine or counterfeit by searching for a code hidden inside the security thread of a note.

IR - InfraredInfrared is essentially invisible to the human eye. A banknote with Infrared Ink (IR) requires a scanner which can render IR visible to the human eye.

Front:Only the emerald number, the right side of the main image and the silvery strip are visible

Back:Only the window, value numeral and the horizontal serial number are visible.

MG – MagneticMagnetic detection enables cash handlers to identify a banknotes authenticity by scanning for traces of magnetic ink in the letterpress and the magnetic thread patterns of a banknote.
