STAGE 1– Phoenicia Time Trial– Saturday, May 4, 2019
Individual Time Trial (ITT)

Start List: Posted online 5/3/19 for all pre-registered racers.
Schedule: Registration and Sign-In: 8:00am– 9:00am
First Rider Start: 9:01am. Racers off at 1-minute intervals.
Awards:
At St. Francis Parish Hall immediately following 15-minute protest period. Jerseys will be presented to
the overall fastest finisher, and also to the fastest ITT Open finisher. ITT stage prizes and omnium
places per schedules provided below. Racers MUST be present to receive prizes and awards.
Special Rules:
No warming up on the ITT course after 8:30am. Trainers will be available on site. Neutral and
wheels-in/wheels-out race support will be available at start and mid-point of ITT course. Mass start
legal road bikes only for all USAC Category racers (P/1/2, Cat 3, Cat 4/5, M45+, M55+)– no clip-on
aero bars will be allowed. ITT Open racers are not restricted to mass start road bikes. Only ITT Open
participants are allowed to use time trial bikes, aero bars, triathlon-legal bikes, etc... Omnium GC
points will be provided to omnium participants (only) per schedule provided below.
STAGE 2– Saugerties Cycling Classic– Saturday, May 4

Jerseys will be awarded to the overall Omnium GC point leaders in each omnium category (P 1/2, Cat
3, Cat 4/5, M45+, M55+)– see schedule below. Omnium GC race leader jerseys must be worn in the
road race on Sunday. Racers MUST be present to receive prizes and awards.
Special Rules:
Neutral start for first 1/2 mi. USAC Moto Referee will signal start. Racers may use the entire road
width at each sprint, including the finish. No warming up on the course during the Cat 4/5 race.
Neutral and wheels-in/wheels-out vehicle support is provided in the race caravan– There is no free
lap. Racers deemed out of contention by USAC officials may be excused from completing the race,
and all excused racers will receive a finish placing per USAC judgement. Omnium GC and sprint
points will be provided to omnium participants (only) per schedules provided below.

11:30am at the Woodstock Community Center. RR stage prizes and omnium places per schedules
provided below. Omnium GC, Sprint, and QoM jerseys will be awarded to respective point leaders in
each omnium category (P/1/2, Cat 3, Cat 4/5, M45+, M55+)– see schedule below. Racers MUST be
present to receive prizes and awards.
Course Notes:
Neutral start until approx. 4.5 mi. (immediately after sharp right bend on Zena Highwoods Rd.).
Steep downhill S-turn on MacDaniel Rd. at approx. 28.6 mi.
Short section with gravel/loose stone on Reynolds Ln approaching NY 212 at approx. 29.2
mi.– USE CAUTION
Divergence point between P/1/2/3/45+/55+ and Cat 4/5 races is at a T-intersection at approx.
30.8 mi. (P/1/2/3/45+/55+ racers turn right, Cat 4/5 racers turn left).
P/1/2/3/45+/55+ course includes approx. 1.7 miles of gravel surface (Cooper Lake Rd.) in fair
condition, starting at approx. 31.8 mi.
Recommended gearing 34/28.
Special Rules:
Omnium GC race leader jerseys must be worn in the road race. Neutral and wheels-in/wheels-out
race support is provided in the race caravan. Racers deemed out of contention by USAC officials may
be excused from completing the race, and all excused racers will receive a finish placing per USAC
judgement. Racers who need a ride back to the finish line should call Race Headquarters at 845-679-
2422 to request pick-up. Omnium GC, QoM, and Sprint points will be provided to all omnium
participants per schedules provided below. Racers MUST be present to receive awards– no prizes
will be mailed.
Race Numbers
Placement: Two numbers will be provided to each racer, and must be worn for all stages.
Numbers must be pinned to the left and right sides (mid-back area) of the racer's
jersey. See the mannequin at Registration for proper placement. Racers with
obstructed numbers may be penalized at the discretion of USAC officials.
Distribution: The number series for each category is shown below:
Omnium racers will receive numbers in the lower portion of the range for each respective category.
One-day (non-omnium) racers will receive numbers in the higher portion of the range for each
respective category. The number range for omnium racers in each category will be specified by the
USAC officials at the start line for the CR and RR.
