Named after noted Padmashri, scholar, researcher and academician Keshavram K. Shastri, the campus offers courses in the diverse faculties of Arts, Commerce, Law, Management and Computer applications in addition to science. The institute affiliated to the Gujarat University is recognized under 12(B) and 2(f) of the UGC Act. The college played lead role in commencing specialized course in science subjects including Biotechnology, Environmental Science and Health-hygiene along with PG and Ph.D. Facility. It is a pleasure to invite you to The Cell 3MT (2019) at K KShastri Educational Campus, Ahmedabad on 12th January 2019, under the series. The seminar covers everything about a living cell ranging from its structure, function, events inside and outside it, activities, interaction with the surrounding, impact over the ambience to scope for its scientific exploitation. The discussion at the seminar shall be chiefly focused over deliberations on novel research ideas invited from scientists, teachers, students and free-lancers hooked to study of 'the living world'. The event is supported by Gujarat Council for Science and Technology (GUJCOST) under the state Dept of Science and Technology (DST). The seminar shall cover popular events of Cross-word and Photography in biology and presentation as per internationally popular style 3MT® develop by the University of Queensland in 2008.

The academic competition invites researcher with effective presentation explaining the breath and significance of their research to a lay audience in 3 minutes.(1) Present information on currently relevant

research topic for an intelligent lay audience.(2) Only one static slide without any electronic media

or transition shall be permitted.(3) Using extra props (costumes, equipment) is not

permitted.(4) Presentations be in spoken word only (no poems).(5) Presentations exceeding 3 minutes duration shall

be disqualified.(6) Time counter start, with a presenter starts

presentation through ‘movement’ or speech.(7) A panel consisting of subject on Comprehension,

Engagement and Communication.(8) Decision of the judges’ panel shall be final.

The Cell-3MT (2019) event shall attract researchers active in varied domains of biological science including Agriculture, BiochemEngg, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, Biomed Technol, Biophysics, Biotechnol, Botany, Cell Biol, Environmental Science, Food Science, Genetics, Life-science, Marine Biol, Medicine, Microbiology, Mole Biol, Veterinary Science and Zoology. The event shall remain an opportunity for the researchers to showcase exciting research, open new network and to inculcate academic, presentation, and research communication skills. Eminent researchers bridged to the young scientists and students for making deliberations should promote quality research in biological science that holds promises for solving issuesbefore humankind.

About the Event Registration and Submission Rules for 3MT Presentation

Scope of Seminar(1) Top three presentations in each categories shall be declared winners. (2) All the presentations shall published as proceedings. (3) From each quorum categories - MPhil/PhD UG/PG and Other - Three winners decided by judges, and One by audience poll. (4) The institute shall extend support executing the research theme of all winning entries. (5) Presenter retains credit and rights for research idea. (6) Only presenting author will be declared winner.
