Wiring would be done under ridge cap.
The roof would be two colors.
Propose using Michigan made Uni-Solar PVL-136 solar panels on a raised seamed metal roof. The roof would look similar to these pictures.

Using a slope of 1/3, each roof face is 190 by 26.3 for a totalof about 5000 sq-ft per face, 10,000 sq-ft for the entire roof.
Uni-solar 136-PVL comes in 18 foot lengths and 15.5 inches wide.We would install 16 panels on the South West corner of the roof.16 * 136 watts = 2.176 KW system (peak)Each panel cost $65. Total panel cost would be (16 * 65) = $1040Would need one Sunny Boy 2000HF-US inverter, which cost about $1500

Using the NREL’s PV-Watt program to calculate energy production, this installation will produce about $285 a year using the current rate of $0.12/KWH.
6.912 + 5.003 = 11.9c
![Page 8: 2KW Solar Installation for the Ypsilanti Freighthouse. Strenski – September 18, 2012.](https://reader036.fdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022081503/5697bfb61a28abf838c9e029/html5/thumbnails/8.jpg)
Installation cost = $2957.50 (may be cheaper with new Solar Current’s program)Dollars generated during the first year @ $0.12/KWH = $285.00
Assuming a fixed price of 12c, the installation will pay for itself in ($2957.50/$285) 10.4 years.
Assuming a 4% inflation rate for electrical power, the solar installation should pay for itself in 9 years.
