Congratulation to the Senior Stage Band who won the 2019 Australian School Bands and Orchestras Competition at the Ed Wilson Stage Band event. Thank you to Mike Rix, Band Director for his work in preparing the group for this event. Congratulations to children who gained selection for the Northern Sydney Area Athletics Carnival - Ethan Temelkovski - 1st Place, 100m, 200m and Long Jump Ella Drinkwater - 1st place, Jnr High Jump William Derbyshire - 2nd place, Jnr 1500m Thank you to the group of parents with children in Year 4 for organising the FathersDay stall. It was a huge effort and I know fathers are going to enjoy these special gifts. The DadsNight Out will be held tomorrow night in Cooinda commencing at 7.00 pm and I know school fathers will enjoy the social occasion. I thank Benita Derbyshire for organising the special prizes for the night and acknowledge the Seiden Family from the Lindfield Mower and Chainsaw Centre, for their generous donation of a Blower. Next Tuesday a new before school BeginnersMusic Program will commence for Year 3 children. Please book via TryBooking. Last week the school received a letter of appreciation from the Tathra Public School community. It acknowledged the support provided by Beaumont Road families to assist rebuilding after the disastrous bushfires last year. Hi Team, Congrats on making it through the first half of the term. Hope you are all looking

forward to seeing your cherubs up on stage for the upcoming performances. Thanks to the teachers and those parents who’ve helped. It’s a big effort, but seeing the smiles on those gorgeous faces…. It’s worth it! Waste-Free Wednesday Continued thanks to parents, children and staff for supporting this initiative. Waste-free Wednesday Tip #3 Check out Lunchbox Legends, presented by our very own wonderful chef extraordinaire and BRPS parent, Rachel Potter - true legend! Details below. We have a few events coming up that you may want to add to your calendar… Lunchbox Legends Need some inspiration for Waste-Free Wednesday? Head along to the school hall on Tuesday, 17th September at 7pm to learn some chef ’s tips and tricks to streamline your school lunchboxes. You’ll go home armed with your own jar of ‘bake and make again’ Muesli Bar Mix, some recipes and lots of ideas for lunchbox fillers. If you would like to create your ‘Bake and Make Again’ Jar there is a cost of $11 for the Jar and ingredients. Otherwise, you are welcome to just come and listen, free of charge. Details on how to register your attendance and/or make payment for the jar and ingredients will be through FlexiSchools. You will be advised once this goes live on the site.

Comedy for a Cause Back by popular demand, Comedy for a Cause. It’s a great night, with lots of laughs all while showing your support for the school and P&C. The event will be held on the first Friday of Term 4, the 18th October. Tickets for the show are $35 and can be purchased now at : comedyforacause.net/BEAUMONT More details regarding the pre-show dinner options will be available very soon. P&C Planning Session We invite the BRPS Team (parents, grandparents, all staff) to help the P&C to get a better understanding of what our entire community envisage for the school and our priorities going into 2020 and beyond.

It’s a casual yet structured night with small group discussions around key questions. More information to come, until then be sure to put it in your diary, Term 4, week 3, Tuesday, 29th of October at 7pm in the school hall. P&C Meeting As always, all are welcome to attend our last P&C meeting of the year on Wednesday, 13 November. A HUGE and heartfelt thank you to every member of the BRPS team who have stepped into help around the school. In the Canteen, with reading or math groups, organising events, or sticking your hand up to help with the performance, even though some of it is unseen, it is always appreciated! YEAR 4 STUDENTS AT A MATHEMATICS WORKSHOP AT KILLARA HIGH SCHOOL

2019 CARD AND CALENDARS FUNDRAISER Students over the next few weeks will be completing an artwork in class that can be converted into merchandise for you to buy as a memento of their year. These items also make great Christmas presents, especially for grandparents and extended family. Student artwork will be available in class for you to view Monday, September 16 to Thursday, September 26. The products you can order are: 2020 Calendars $14 each Cards (8 pack) $14 each A5 Notebook $18 each A5 2018 Diary $18 each A5 Sketch Pad $18 each Tea Towel $25 each Tote Bag $25 each Samples are available in the office if you would like to see the quality. CATAPULT is up and running again for 2019. Please continue reading for relevant details. Students are encouraged to work with either individually or with their families and friends to

record creative projects across a wide range of categories. All entries should be in the form of a digital submission to Mr Gadsden, preferably on a USB. Examples include short films, musical

recordings (audio / audio & visual), dance (videos), visual art (photographed). Videos might also be miscellaneous, showcasing creative and performance talents that do not fit into the

aforementioned categories. The initiative will culminate with an evening event on November 15th where prizes will be given and families will be invited to come and view selected entries. Students

will also participate in viewing and voting days. We look forward to receiving your projects. For any further questions, please see Mr. Gadsden.
