(MPCDF) MP State Cooperative Dairy Federation Ltd is the apex body of the 3 tier Dairy cooperative structure in the State of Madhya Pradesh for organized dairy development-

The First Tier - Village level Cooperative Societies- the DCSs,

Second Tier – Central Society i.e. Cooperative Milk Unions, Third Tier - Apex Society i.e. MPCDF has become the

mainstay for almost all dairy development activities in the State.

At the primary level are the Village milk producer’s Dairy Cooperative Societies (DCSs) that are welded together into 5 regional Cooperative Milk Unions which operate facilities for milk & feed processing, collection & distribution of milk and provides the milk producer members a full range of technical input services.

The 5 regional Cooperative Milk Unions situated at –  Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Gwalior, Jabalpur

To carry out activities for promoting production, procurement, processing, manufacturing and marketing of milk.

  Development and promotion of the diary industry,

improvement and protection of milk animals and economic betterment of those engaged in milk production.

-According the result revealed by above chart, Sanchi is most popular brand in all over Indore city. 59% retailers are agreeing to this statement.

Quality of Sanchi milk is?

-Sanchi provides uniform and better quality of fresh milk to his customer. The overall performance of Sanchi product is very good. Maximum retailers are lot of stock of Sanchi milk because Sanchi product is captured the market and quality is very good compare than other brand like Amul and Saras.

Sanchi is big brand name and he has made special place in public hearts. One important think is “Public Acceptability” and other is “customers demand” so according to both reason are the maximum retailers is kept stock of Sanchi brand.

Strong supply chain is necessary for any milk plant. Sanchi is very well managing his supply chain members. The distribution channel of Sanchi is better than other company like Amul and Saras. Hence the prove the management system of Sanchi is very good.

Sanchi give many offer for retailer member for example - MP State Cooperative Dairy Federation is provide a pre-paid master card for regular customer. Milk federations open the lucky draw on 20th of every month for holder of master card.

Provide a discount coupon for butter, ghee sweet curd etc.

Limited time available for fill up the questionnaire because focus on next shop. As a result of this sometime it was not possible to gather full information about the respondents.

When I interviewed the shopkeeper and retailers, sometimes they not interested to give answers.

  As summer training is going under summer season so

sometimes shopkeeper and retailers are less interested in filling up questionnaire.

During the training time, I found no major problem with sanchi’s

product. I focus on some problems, Sanchi is facing & they should improve

to capture the whole market and gain top position in the market:- Some difficulties facing by retailers/shopkeeper and distributors-

Compensation - Retailers / shopkeeper doesn’t get any

compensation against the leakages problem and no any kind of

replacement against the leakages, so Sanchi should change this type

of policies.

Some difficulties facing by Sanchi-

Problem of supply – Problem of supply is one another important problem. The main factor of this problem is seasonal change, time of festival and milk available of local farmer.

Problem of leakage – One important problem is leakage

problem. We observed the training time, at the time of loading

of milk packets in the vehicle (distribution time), some

packets get leaked, because of mishandling of the packets.

Compensation is good factor. Company gives compensation to the retailers and shopkeeper.

Company should provide the replacement offer to those outlets which is run with small business

In rural area, many people lack of awareness of milk product like pro-biotic curd, flavored milk etc. The company gives advertisement of the milk product by electronic and print media in local newspapers and channel.

Sanchi has a relatively good distribution channel, but in peak season demand is high so company is not able to fulfill the demand. Company should consider product supply in the peak season.

After the summer training in Sanchi company. We come to conclusion the Sanchi used Unique Selling Proposition (USP) pattern differentiate to the competitors. By using the Promotional and Advertising activities Sanchi can increase awareness to those particular areas where its competitors are very strong.

My project some is following specific conclusions- Customers easily recommended ‘SANCHI’ as the leading

dairy brand in all over INDORE CITY.
