USED JOB SHACK INSIDER…WHOLE FOODS MARKET…

PRODUCE TEAM MEMBER AT WHOLE FOODS ACCEPTED OFFER – INTERVIEWED MAY 7, 2013 Interview Details –Was called in for 1 interview. Very basic interview. Was called in for a second interview and it was more serious. Then the next day i was called for the job. Interview Question –What are your weakness? Negotiation Details –They asked me what i was looking for (shift wise) and i said days or nights. They only had nights available. They also told me what they were going to pay me and when I would start. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CASHIER AT WHOLE FOODS ACCEPTED OFFER – INTERVIEWED APR 15, 2013 Interview Details –I applied online at home on a Thursday and was called the next day to come in for an interview the following Monday. I arrived and waited for a few minutes before a manager (I am assuming?) came to greet me and we sat down for the interview. It was very casual, at some counters near the checkout.

Page 19: 28 aug 13a New Job Book

She had a print off of my application with her but I gave her a copy of my resume anyway. She asked about 5 or 6 questions before asking for a reference at my previous job. Know the brand identity and culture! Interview Questions

• What does guest services mean to you? • What does teamwork mean to you? • Why do you want to work at Whole Foods?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BAKERY TEAM MEMBER AT WHOLE FOODS ACCEPTED OFFER – INTERVIEWED APR 12, 2013 Interview Details –Applied online and was contacted a couple days later. Had two interviews (one with front end & other with bakery after I mentioned coffee experience), which both went great. Know WFM core values and history of company, questions will be asked! Both interviews were very casual and relaxed, with plenty of laughs in between. A couple of days later I received another phone call regarding a "second" interview with the store TL. It was short and sweet about my schedule and flexibility (if I could close/open, our term for "close at 1030 then open at 5am the next day), etc. I don't know if all TL interviews are like that, but mine was! I think a couple days after that, I received a phone call from the ATL offering me the position and I have loved it ever since! Interview Question –Are you a circle or a square? Negotiation Details –The TL and ATLs told me the beginning hourly pay for each team member during my interview with the chance of raises at the 6 month and year reviews. =================================================================== SEAFOOD TEAM MEMBER AT WHOLE FOODS ACCEPTED OFFER – INTERVIEWED MAR 27, 2013 Interview Details – I was very determined to work for whole foods, where I was in a bad spot with my current working job, and after I had done my research and realized what a great company wfs' was to work for. I applied, applied, and I applied some more. I took the time to go into the store to introduce myself to every manager in the departments I had applied in. My first application was for a management position in the seafood department, although I had no management experience. I introduced myself to the manager he asked me a few questions, asked me to wait so he could look up my application, said he would look over it and give me a call, I re-checked my application online, and it stated the status of my application was "pursuing other candidates, but encouraged to apply for other jobs," So, I did, and I received an interview on a Saturday in the grocery department,

Page 20: 28 aug 13a New Job Book

after my 30 minute interview of basic questions, "schedule restrictions, what does organic mean to you, etc." The interview was concluded with, "I have a lot of people to interview, if you do not hear from me in a week, feel free to give me a call to check the status, I am very busy and can sometimes forget." I did some shopping afterwards and took the time to touch base with more managers in departments I had applied; I also went to touch base with the Seafood Manager to thank him for his words of encouragement, even though he had not chosen to hire me. He wished me luck and told me to let him know how it goes, The following Thursday (the day before I had planned to call the grocery manager to check about the job) I received a call from the seafood manager, asking if I had heard back from anyone, and that if not, he had a position that just opened up and he would really like to have me in his department if someone else had not snatched me up yet. I was THRILLED! I went in for an "interview" with him, he showed me around the department, gave me the "low-down" of what a day of work there would be like, and asked me if I had any issues with the bare-necessities I would need to work there. He offered me the position, full-time, and that was just last week, I am currently awaiting my background screening to clear and schedule my "day 1" training class. I cannot wait to start my career with whole foods, and leave behind my junk of a job I have now,

PERSISTENCE REALLY DOES PAY OFF! Interview Question –What does Organic mean to you? Negotiation Details –There was no negotiation, I was more than thrilled with the offer with it being almost 3$ more than what I am currently making... =================================================================== Customer Service Technician (Field Service Tech) - Tempe Job ID #: 00013891 Primary Location: AZ00 - Phoenix, AZ Talent Area: Maintenance Other Location:

USED JOB SHACK INSIDER… IMPORTANT…THE COMPANY WEBSITE WILL NOT SHOW YOU ACTUAL STORE OPENINGS UPFRONT! You must do a 50 minute application to get to actual jobs! Feedback is that it is better to go into the closest store between 2-4PM to talk to someone about actual openings…unless you want to spend 50 minutes to find out there are no openings…Don’t figure that a phone call is the lazy way out…as they MAY take the easy way out too and just answer “NO.”

COURTESY CLERK AT KROGER ACCEPTED OFFER – INTERVIEWED APR 3, 2013 Interview Details – Applied in store and was called to interview the next day. Was very quick. Just asked very basic background questions. I don’t think there were any personality questions at all. Overall very easy process which is expected for a very low skilled job Interview Question –No difficult questions ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CASHIER AT KROGER Accepted Offer – Interviewed Feb 24, 2013 Interview Details – The interview was pretty formal and easy. The Associate Manager was the one that did the interviewing and she just asked the basic retail questions. It seems that if you get an interview you'll more than likely get the job as long as you don't say anything that would jeopardize that. The manager actually spent more time talking about the company than actually asking questions. She also liked the fact that I was in college since many of the employees there were attending a college or university. They also do an oral drug test with you right away in the office after the interview. Interview Question –There wasn't any difficult or unexpected questions. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CASHIER AT KROGER ACCEPTED OFFER – INTERVIEWED OCT 8, 2012 Interview Details – I applied online. I was contacted 2 weeks later for an interview. I arrived early, and had to wait. The interviewer finally came to interview me. Was immediately asked to see my identification and SS card. She

copied it, and then proceeded to give me papers describing the duties of cashier and courtesy clerk. I was asked questions regarding education, past experience, scheduling availability, customer service, and why did I want to work for Kroger. She went over the pay scale, training, scheduling, dress code, lunch/breaks, and insurance. Afterwards, I was given an oral drug test and back ground check. Exactly one week later, I was contacted to come in and do paperwork. Training was then scheduled. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CASHIER AT KROGER ACCEPTED OFFER – INTERVIEWED SEP 20, 2012 Interview Details –Initially received a phone call to schedule an interview several days after my online application. I arrived a bit early so I had to wait for about ten minutes upstairs, I guess they weren't expecting me to be prompt. When my interviewer arrived, it was fairly straightforward and quick from then on. We went into the office and I was asked simple questions about myself, my work experience, and why I wanted to work for Kroger. At that point, the conversation shifted to the job description, work environment, expectations of me, and the drug test I'd have to take. I then was given time to ask questions, and then taken to the HR person to take my drug test. I was called a few days later when the results were in to schedule training and orientation. Easy process, and the front end manager was very nice throughout it all. Interview Question –There weren't really any difficult or unexpected questions. They were fairly simple and straightforward. The only one that wasn't about me or my history was why did I want to work for Kroger, and that was simple to wing my way through. Easiest interview I've ever had. =================================================================== CASHIER AT KROGER ACCEPTED OFFER – INTERVIEWED AUG 12, 2012 Interview Details –Applied online.
