Trips Books for 2020 are here!

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Christmas Angel program this year. Through your generosity we were able to help six families from Edgewater and Mayo Elementary Schools have a Merry Christmas! Thank you to Friends and the South County Showstoppers for donating funds to purchase gift cards for each of the families. It was an amazing

    display of holiday cheer!

Thank you to Friends for subsidizing the cost of our annual Holiday Luncheon and to all the volunteers who helped serve. Thank you to the Showstoppers for the fabulous performance. Our Holiday Silent Auction was a success again

this year, bringing in over $800.00. Special thanks to Denise Miller for putting the window display together.

Friends would like to share some of the purchases they made in 2018. Funds for these purchases come primarily from the income from the Flea Market, Book Sales and Jewelry Sales. Purchases include: Aquarium Maintenance Services,

Scholarships to Center Participants for AACC Classes, Monthly Birthday Cakes and Ice Cream, Bingo Prizes, Gardening Supplies and Plants, Flea Market Supplies, Gift Cards for Angel Tree Families, Volunteer Appreciation

Luncheon, new six foot tables, and supplementing the cost for the Thanksgiving and Holiday Luncheons at the Center. We thank Friends for their generosity and support of the services and activities at the Center.

SPECIAL EVENT SIGN UP: We would like to remind everyone when you sign up for a special event, luncheon or workshop, please let the center know if you will not be able to attend. We often have a waitlist of individuals who would like to come but cannot do so unless we have cancellations. If you don’t let us know you are cancelling, we can’t replace

you with someone from the waitlist. Additionally, meals are paid for based on a count of the number of people signed up, and no shows must still be paid for. Remember to mark your calendars when you sign up so you don’t forget!

SIGN IN AT THE TOUCHSCREENS: We would like to remind everyone to sign in when they come to the center for ALL of the classes and activities you are participating in. Keeping accurate data about center usage is crucial to provid-ing support to any requests for expanding the building, services and programs at the center. It is important that we keep track of not only the number of individuals coming into the center, but also what activities people are participating in.
