Sri Jitendra J Jadhav, born in 1965, is currently the Director of CSIR-NAL, Bengaluru. Sri Jadhav has obtained his BE (Electronics) from university of Pune in 1987 and MS from Computer Engineering Department of Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT), Pune. He has more than 29 years of experience in Design and Development of Military Systems

for Army, Navy, Air Force, Industrial and Railways applications. He has designed, developed and commercialized major systems like Fire Control Systems for Tanks, Airborne Digital Optronic Pedestal for Nishant, Optical Fire Control for Navy, Mission and Display Computer for LCA, Weapon Control System for LCA, Tactical Mission System for Helicopter and Digital Servo Systems for Automobiles/Railways. Prior to taking over charge of Director, CSIR-NAL on 27th June, Sri Jadhav had worked as Outstanding Scientist, Project Director LCA & Group Director (Weapon & Missile System) at the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA), Bengaluru. He has won design Award of ADA in the year 2000, DRDO Scientist of the year award in the year 2008, DRDO Performance Excellence Award for Initial operational clearance of Tejas in the year 2013 and Agni Award for Excellence in Self Reliance in the year 2014. He has published more than 20 papers in National and International Journals of repute. During his short tenure at NAL, NAL has received Technology Innovation Award 2016 and Technofest Award 2016.

A graduate in Chemical Engineering from CIT Coimbatore, Ms. Kailasam pursued her Masters in Wayne State University USA. She also possesses a Management degree from OUBS-UK. She started her career with Ford Corporation in USA and worked under various functions of their plants across globe – US, India, China & UK. She stepped into Rane (Madras) Ltd as a TQM Co-ordinator in 2003. The Progressive, transparent and vibrant management of Rane and its commitment to TQM principles facilitated her to gain expertise in this fi eld and she was successful in implementing the same to the fullest. She was instrumental in Rane (Madras) Ltd winning the coveted Deming Prize, in 2007 and Deming Grand Prize, in 2012. Identifying her potential, RML management brought the operation of two of its plants under her profi le. She is passionate about teaching. She actively participates in Industry Associations like CII, MMA etc. She was the Vice-Chair for the CII-Tamil Nadu Manufacturing Excellence Committee. She is the past Chairwoman of Indian Women Network (IWN) Tamil Nadu - Region.
