• and photo opportunity with the President • We are planning a Virtual Awards Ceremony for our residential MBA programs for late May/early June,

around the time our Commencement Weekend was originally planned. This will not take the place of the XXXX School individual graduate recognition event in regalia that is usually on the Saturday of XXXXX Commencement Weekend. It will take the place of our Dean’s Awards Brunch, which has traditionally been held the Friday of Commencement Weekend. This event is to announce/acknowledge academic and service awards. It is not an event where every student is recognized, nor do students wear regalia for it. The virtual

event will be somewhat different, in that we will add student speakers. Our plan is to do an in-person individual recognition in regalia in conjunction with XXXXX University’s rescheduled Commencement, yet to be announced.

Happy to participate in another survey. • The MBA Center will host a small Graduation Celebration virtually for the MBA graduates. Then they will be

eligible to participate in the official graduation ceremonies when it is possible to meet in large groups. • We also hold a separate MBA only graduation celebration dinner - this will be postponed until we can meet

in person. We will be hosting a virtual toast in the meantime. • It's still an evolving situation. • "At XXXXXX, campus manages Commencement in XXXXXX (football field). That event is cancelled for May,

2020 and the Chancellor and her team are planning an alternate 'event'. It will consist of options for grads, similar to the ones that you proposed. Additionally, XXXXXX has always held a graduation event to honor grads and their families. This previously included a brunch and hour long program including a talk by the dean, remarks by the Associate or Asst. Dean, sometimes a student speaker, presentation of the honor oath, a student video, and more. This year, the event will be virtual, and delivered synchronously at the time



we would have started our program. It will be live-streamed as well as recorded and posted. Some parts will be pre-recorded. "

• We are creating a virtual ceremony with students holding up messages or creating 15 second video clips, adding messages from the President, Provost, Dean and Alumni relations. We will post this for streaming on graduation day and offer students a copy as a keepsake.

• We had hoped to offer an alternate ceremony in late summer, but couldn't make the logistics work with the start of Fall term activities scheduled for campus, and all of the catch-up from Spring term going online so suddenly.

• Virtual of some sort may be required by University but planning a December ceremony for in-person celebration.

• We have postponed our May commencement ceremony, but no plans have been made on when it will take place.

• On the date of the original ceremony, we will 'reflect, celebrate and congratulate' students on this momentous achievement using multiple engagement touch points; Celebratory email including digital program (to be mailed at later date), downloadable fun graphics to be used on social media and video message from program director and credits that include students names; Publish a photo album on social media that includes photos collected by graduates of their 'favorite memories/highlights' from their journey; Utilize student social media ambassadors to run engagement campaign of individuals celebrations on day-of. Once we resume 'normal' operations we will select a new date for the postponed ceremony and have a ceremony for all of our graduates when things are safe. We are being strategic and not using photos of individuals in cap & gown, etc. or using the words graduate or graduation. We will utilize Class of 2020.

• These discussions are taking place at the university leadership level. The information I provided in this survey is based on second-hand information and does not come directly from the source of decision making.

• Current message is ceremonies are postponed • Our graduation takes place in December as we are a year and a half program so we wouldn't have done

anything in May for our Full-Time MBA program anyway. I do plan to do a little ceremony with my MS Business students, though.

• preliminary information only - we are still sorting what we will do • we will offer something virtually in July to mark the occasion, though will plan an alternative ceremony at a

later date, probably early 2021 • For the interactive programming: graduates to be are being asked to submit photos of themselves and

possible honorary mentions of their support system. Leadership is pre-recording videos for virtual ceremony.

Each year the MBA Roundtable presents its Annual Curricular Innovation Symposium which focuses on a unique theme of importance to the topic of MBA curriculum innovation. The Symposium is hosted by a member school and delivers keynote speaker(s), panel sessions, along with interactive breakout discussion sessions, as well as networking opportunities for the attendees. The Symposia agenda is developed by an Advisory Committee composed of member school and affiliate sponsor representatives and is designed specifically for participants to discuss issues, exchange ideas and cultivate networks. Historically, there are 80-100 attendees at these conferences who represent a strong mix of faculty and administrative leaders of leading MBA programs.

Each year the MBA Roundtable drives several research initiatives ranging from ongoing benchmarking studies to current and relevant flash surveys regarding hot topic issues. The MBA Roundtable also participates in long ranging research studies with our partners and sponsors to develop white papers for our membership. Throughout the year, the MBA Roundtable delivers webinars and workshops around important topics such as Best Practices in Curriculum Review and Design, Emerging Trends in Graduate Business Education Curriculum, How to construct an effective digital marketing/social media marketing course and Innovations in MBA Program Curriculum.

Promote and recognize MBA curricular achievement, change and innovation

The MBA Roundtable Innovator Award was created in 2011 to promote educational initiatives that advance innovation in MBA education and acknowledge the schools that drive change in the field. The Innovator Award raises awareness of ongoing continuous curricular and co-curricular improvements and educates employers, business school leaders and faculty about innovative practices of best-in-class MBA programs. For business schools, the Award publically recognizes their leadership to initiate and achieve curricular reform. Any business school that offers an MBA degree and has taken initiative such as program revision, course content or delivery changes, or co-curricular experiential learning opportunity is eligible to participate. Since its inception, over 75 business schools have submitted their initiatives. Finalist and recipient school initiatives cover every aspect of the content-pedagogy-format curricular framework with impact reach locally and globally, and with benefits to the learner, business and community.
