REGISTRATION SELECTION The competition will be open to 10 athletes from Australia and 10 athletes from New Zealand per gender. Athlete selection is governed by each respective National Federation. If you have any questions about the selection process, please contact your National Sporting Organisation. Australia – [email protected] New Zealand – [email protected] LICENSES Only competitors and team officials with a valid IFSC international license are allowed to register for the competition. REGISTRATION

Registration for all athletes and team officials is to be completed by the National Sporting Organisation directly with the International Federation of Sport Climbing. FEE Registration Fee is $200 AUD. It will be collected by the National Federation and transferred to the event organiser DEADLINE The deadline for team registration is 5 days before the 1st day of the event. START LIST Registered competitors not confirmed as present by close of check in at the venue will be deleted from the Official Starting List

CHECK IN & TECHNICAL MEETING

Check in and Technical Meeting are on Friday 18th December at 6pm via zoom. Each Team must be represented by a team official at the Technical Meeting. Athletes are welcome to attend.

ANTI-DOPING Anti-doping The event is subject to Sport Integrity Australia anti-doping testing as per IFSC policy and regulation. Education All athletes must be fully aware of the expectations and requirements relating to testing. For more details relating to anti-doping please contact your national federation.

COVID-SAFE REGULATIONS We request that all athletes travelling to Sydney for the event take the maximum precautions and maintain social distancing and wear masks in any high-risk environment in the lead-up to the event.

All requirements of the NSW government and the venue must be complied with. These requirements may change and all instructions of the Jury President must be complied with at the event.

If you are experiencing symptoms or have been in close contact with a positive case you may not enter the venue. Athletes will be sent a digital survey to complete prior to checking in at the event with Covid related questions and up to date contact details. Please allow extra time to check in at the venue on the day of the event.

Each athlete needs to bring:

• Clean towel

• Personal food and drink requirements – food will not be available at the venue

All athletes and officials must wear a face mask (reusable or single use) when in the official area, field of play or athlete area (including the isolation zone). Athletes may remove face masks when competing.

Chalk – prior to climbing athletes must use hand sanitiser. Athletes are allowed to use their preferred type of chalk while competing.

Limitiations may apply to the number of athletes allowed on the wall in the warm-up area during isolation. Please bring any equipment you require to warm up if access to the wall is not available.

Social distancing – all athletes, officials and spectators in the venue are required to maintain social distancing where practicable. Please do not make physical contact when greeting or throughout the event with people outside of your household.

Athletes, officials or spectators not complying with Covid requirements will be asked to leave the venue.

RESPONSE PROTOCOL IN CASE OF (SUPPOSED) POSITIVITY

In case a person feels unwell and/or shows symptoms of an acute respiratory infection during the event:

• The relevant Team Manager or the athletes shall inform the IFSC Delegate (TD) or Jury President (JP);

• TD or JP will coordinate with EO and Emergency COVID-19 Outbreak Response Coordinator on how to treat the case (treatment will depend from country to country);

• Emergency COVID-19 Outbreak Response Coordinator Doctor shall decide what to do with the other members of the team;

• The information will be published on the Official Board, without the name of the persons involved in the case

In case a person feels unwell and/or shows symptoms of an acute respiratory infection during the event, in addition to the above:

• Jury President will organise an online meeting with IFSC President, IFSC General Director, Sport Director, Technical Delegate, Event Organiser and Emergency COVID-19 Outbreak Response Coordinator in order to decide if the competition shall be suspended, postponed, or cancelled;

• IFSC President has the final decision about the competition; in case IFSC President, for any reason, is not reachable, the final decision will be taken by IFSC General Director;

• Jury President will inform all the participants and Team Managers about the final decision and this decision will be immediately published on the Official Board and on the website.

SPECTATORS Each athlete registered for the event will receive one entry ticket for a friend or family member to support them as a spectator. Event volunteers will also receive a free event ticket. Sport Climbing Australia and the IFSC reserve the right to issue further tickets. This event may be closed to the public. Any other tickets will be available for purchase up to a maximum quota via sportclimbingaustralia.org.au

EVENT RIGHTS Photography, video recoding and broadcasting for commercial and advertising purposes will not be allowed unless a license agreement is obtained with Sport Climbing Australia or the International Federation of Sport Climbing. Please contact [email protected] for more information.

MORE INFORMATION This competition is an IFSC event and will follow the IFSC competition rules. Please find the full rules and regulations at the IFSC website: https://www.ifsc-climbing.org/index.php/world-competition/rules Any appeal should be accompanied by $150 AUD in cash (approximate equivalent 100 Euros). This will be refunded in the case of an accepted appeal.
