Welcome JeanClaude. Congratulations, Aleena and Eryn— Pathways for Success Mentors!
Pathways for Success said goodbye to Eryn
Lindsay, Pathways for Success Peer Mentor,
who graduated in the fall 2018 and started
working on her Bachelor’s Degree at Frostburg State University in January 2019.
Aleena Rock, Pathways Peer Mentor, will
graduate in August 2019 and is relocating to
Nevada where she will pursue a Bachelor’s Degree. Both students have made a lasting
impression on the TRIO office and have
helped many students on their journey to
realizing their dreams. The Pathways Office
welcomed JeanClaude Ndango as a new
Peer Mentor in the fall 2018, and he will
continue in this role in the fall of 2019. He was
recently elected President of PTK and is a
founding member of Aspiring Young Men!
This year, the TRIO Pathways for Success Program had four graduation speakers. This is a testament to the dedication, grit, fortitude, intellectualism, and tenacity of these amazing first generation students! Here are photos of Antonio Cummings, Syully Koroh, Marie Williams, and Eryn Lindsay who all gave moving and tear jerking speeches at commencements in the fall and spring of the 18-19
school year. You inspire us all!

ADULTING 101 EVENT In partnership with several departments on campus, and due to the financial support of CashCourse,
Pathways was able to host a financial literacy event on
campus entitled, Adulting101. Students learned about repaying
loans, eating healthy on a budget, dressing for
success, and making good financial decisions NOW for the future. The event was a
huge success, and even drew the attention of a local
news channel!
TRiO End of Year Celebration Honors 38 graduates!

sense of belonging which gave her the
confidence to be admitted into the
