Congratulations! So you’re in love, you’re engaged, but you’re torn between having the wedding of your dreams - with beautiful styling, handcrafted details and photographs to die for… OR putting all that money on your house… with your very own white picket fence and open fireplace. Well now you can have both!

So, what is a ‘Pop Up Wedding’ anyway?

A Pop Up Wedding is fancier than getting married at the Registry of Births, Deaths & Marriages, but cheaper than a Big, White Wedding with your Mum inviting every friend she’s ever met… Essentially, our team aims to find an amazing venue with a wedding date free in the next 2-3 months. Because the venue is unlikely to get a late wedding booking, we’re then able to secure the venue and work on some amazing styling options with our creative team to offer couples two or three different ceremony locations at each event, all uniquely styled to allow our brides to choose a specific style which they feel suits themselves and their guests.

We then take bookings for other couples who want to get married on the same date, who each share in the cost of the ceremony furniture hire, flowers, styling, photography, bridal bouquets, venue, celebrant, wedding planner - and even a mini-reception for your guests to keep them occupied and fed while you have a wedding photo-shoot with your new partner, including unlimited (non alcoholic) refreshments, sweets (often a spectacular wedding cake) giant lawn games and activities (weather permitting).

In the space of an hour, you’ll choose one of our fabulously styled ceremony areas, pick a gorgeous bouquet, walk down the aisle to your future husband and get married in front of your nearest and dearest. After congratulations and a few family photos, you’ll then head off for a private photo-shoot with our photographer while your guests are pampered and taken care of by our team. Some couples then choose to go off for a planned (bigger) reception elsewhere to carry on the celebrations of your new nuptials!

Who are The Perth Pop Up Wedding Company?

In 2014, The Perth Pop Up Wedding Company pioneered Perth’s first Pop Up Wedding Event! After such phenomenal success, The Perth Pop Up Wedding Company has continued to bring together a selection of the most creative and sought after wedding suppliers in Western Australia to give you the wedding you’ve always wanted.

When you book your wedding with The Perth Pop Up Wedding Company, you know you’re booking with a company who have a solid history of making brides’ dreams come true. Why? Because we’re all in the wedding industry and focused on making each Pop Up Wedding day a truly unique and special occasion for all of our couples. We run more Pop Up Wedding days than anyone else in Australia and we’re the go-to Pop Up Company for media and bridal magazines when they want to feature one of our amazing weddings.

Tell me about the venue..

We always choose venues within 25-30 minutes drive from Perth, so whether you choose to head out to lunch, dinner or straight to the airport for your honey-moon is up to you.

Is my wedding private?

Yes, it is. While there will be other couples getting married on the same day as you, each ceremony is an hour apart and completely private to you and your guests.

Is it a legal wedding?

Yes! We will arrange for the submission of your Notice of Intent to Marry and then after a few signatures on your wedding day you will officially be Mr & Mrs! As the Australian government doesn’t recognise same-sex marriages as yet, we are very happy to arrange for a civil commitment ceremony for same-sex couples. Whether you are having a ceremony or getting married for the first time or having a vow renewal, the motions are the same and we’d love to see you.

Ok, so what’s included?

The Perth Pop Up Wedding Company looks after just about everything you need for your special day!

This includes your Venue Hire, Gorgeous Styling, Bridal Bouquet, Wedding Photography, Legal Marriage Paperwork, your official Commonwealth Marriage Certificate, Marriage Celebrant, Wedding Ceremony, Music, Decorative Flowers, Sweets & Refreshments! All you have to do, is literally grab your dress and shoes….oh and your Groom, and come get married!

Venue

The very nature of the Pop Up Wedding is that we find an amazing venue that’s not already booked for a particular date this wedding season and aim to secure the venue at a great price for our couples. Sometimes this takes a little while to lock in, as the venue may be hoping for a late wedding booking, however we will usually confirm and announce the venue within 2-3 months of the Pop Up Wedding date, to allow you to send out your wedding invitations. (Although we do always choose a venue that is within 20-25 mins of Perth CBD).

This concept has proven really popular and we’ve always selected amazing venues, so many couples lock in their booking even before we’ve confirmed the venue… It is a bit of a risk in that way, however that is the nature of the Pop Up. You get an amazing wedding package at an incredible price, however we’re not typically able to confirm the venue until about 2-3 months before your wedding date - Just enough time for you to send out your Wedding Invites, although you can send out your Save-The-Date cards as soon as you book!

We have had the pleasure of working with some of the most incredibly beautiful venues in Perth such as - Linton and Kay Galleries, Chapel Farm, Sandalford Winery, Joondalup Resort, Perth Town Hall, Matilda Bay Restaurant and Lamont’s Bishops House.

Styling and Decorative Blooms

Our specialised and professional Pop Up Style Team works cohesively to make sure that the flow, theme and intricate details on the day work beautifully together…. we only work

with the very best stylists and florists in Perth and have created some of the most unique, inspiring and divine ceremony setups WA has even seen!

We are sometimes asked before the event if couples can add or change decorations on the day, however we’ve found that because we always set up two or three different ceremony areas, each with their own unique styling and theme, we tend to cater for everyone’s tastes, so this isn’t something we’re able to do. Our Pop Up Style team has spent many months piecing each little detail together so it looks beautiful at the venue and in your photos, so the ceremony area you choose on the day is sure to suit your own personal style and theme.

Bridal Bouquets

Our bridal bouquets are hand made and created by a member of our professional Pop Up Style Team. They always use beautiful fresh in-season flowers to create a masterpiece for your day. You will have the opportunity to pick a gorgeous bouquet on the day from our bouquet table, and the bouquet you choose is yours to keep. We do only provide one bouquet for the bride, however you are welcome to arrange bouquets for your bridesmaids and/or flowergirls separately if you like. Our bouquets are always nuetral so rest assured they will compliment any gown you choose to rock!

Photographer

We like to think that all our previous Pop Up Wedding photos speak for themselves! We have the pleasure of providing all our couples exquisite photos from some of the most sort after photographers in WA. Your Pop Up Photographers will capture your grand entrance, ceremony shots, the kiss, your congratulations, family portraits after the ceremony and of course your special Bride and Groom photoshoot. You can expect a minimum of 40 photographs from your ceremony, portraits and photoshoot, all professionally edited and in high resolution. (USB or an online album you can share with friends). Photos are ready 6-8 weeks post Pop Up Event.

Please note that only our Pop Up Photographer has permission to take photos during your one hour ceremony package. Of course, once your session is complete you’re free to have photos with who ever you like!

Videographers are welcome as long as you make us and the Pop Up Photographer aware just so they work cohesively with the Pop Up Photographer on the day.

Commonwealth Marriage Celebrant

Probably the most important part of your wedding, apart from the dress of course, is your legal paperwork and making it all official! We only work with WA’s most fabulous Marriage Celebrants who not only prepare your legal paperwork, but also write and conduct your personalised wedding ceremony. Our Marriage Celebrant will look after your ceremony, music - yes you can have ANY music you want during your ceremony, your official certificates and of course your big announcement!!

Vow Renewals and Commitment Ceremonies are SUPER popular at our Pop Up Weddings - the exact same service and inclusions apply for your special day.

Remember - even if it’s just the two of you (with no guests or witnesses) this is perfectly fine. We can witness for you to make everything legal, just like an elopement.

Mini Reception

Included on the day is a ‘mini’ reception which includes some sweets and non-alcoholic refreshments to pamper your guests while you’re on your private bridal photo shoot. Again a lot of styling and thought goes into the perfect theme and sweets for your wedding and the results are always delicious. Please note: We can only cater for a maximum of 26 people. (Bride & Groom + 24 guests)

Sweets

Ok, let’s be honest, this is one of the best parts of the day, right?! Well we think it is!! While you’re off having photos, each of your guests will receive a delightful sweet treats. We have had some incredible tasty delights including Ice Creams (Yep, we get a whole van of ice cream coz we can!), Wedding Cakes, Cupcakes filled with serious delicious fillings and even hand-made artesian donuts! We choose our sweets leading up to the day and cater for 26 ppl.

Refreshments

Guests will also receive their choice of non-alcoholic refreshments from our delectable drinks station. These include drinks such as our ‘secret recipe’ Pop Up Pink Lemonade, Orange Ginger Whiz Fizz and Naked Lime Mocktail… These are hand made beverages specially blended using only the finest ingredients.

How many guests can we bring?

We understand that while you may want to elope or have a low key wedding, some family members have expectations and will want to share in this very special day with you. If you do want to bring guests to witness your wedding, please be aware that you may bring no more than 24 people with you – which we can comfortably seat and cater for. So you can simply tell anyone else that doesn’t make your guest list that there just isn’t enough room for more people. Make us the bad guys – that’s ok!

More that 24? Unfortunately we can only seat and cater for 24 guests. Our couples get an amazing wedding package with the best wedding suppliers WA has to offer at an incredible price, however in order to deliver this style of event we’ve really had to focus on a specific format and that includes having a maximum of 24 guests.

Kiddies? As a general rule - if kiddies can sit on the lap of an adult they are not included in your 24…. if they’re big enough that they need a seat, then you’ll need to count them.

Can we have a bridal party?

You sure can. What’s more, although we can still only seat and cater for 24 guests, because your bridal party will be standing up the front with you, they’re not included in the 24 guests - we do allow a maximum of 6 in your bridal party though - so up to 3 bridesmaids and 3 groomsmen and we do only provide catering for the Bride & Groom + 24 guests.

I love the idea, but I want to bring my own wedding suppliers. Is that ok?

Unfortunately not. We’ve worked hard to bring you the most sought after wedding suppliers in Western Australia. That doesn’t stop you from using someone else before or after your wedding though. For example, if you have a photographer in mind, we suggest that you set up time with them either before your wedding or after your ceremony. The

exception to this is if you would like to arrange a videographer, we are perfectly comfortable with this as long as we are informed prior to the wedding.

How many photos will we get?

You can expect a minimum of 40 photographs from your ceremony, portraits and photoshoot, all professionally edited and in high resolution. (Either on USB or an online album you can share with friends) Photos are ready 6-8 weeks post Pop Up Event.

Can I book for a date that’s not listed?

The concept of the Perth Pop Up Wedding is that it does “Pop Up” for a short time only. We will continue to look for amazing venues that are available for our future dates and we look forward to putting on a Perth Pop Up Wedding a few times each year, with a different concept each time. We recommend you follow us on Instagram and Facebook to be the first to know when another date is released, which is usually with 2-3 months notice.

I don’t live in Perth, can I still have a Pop Up Wedding?

Absolutely! At our last Pop Up Wedding we had couples drive from Margaret River and fly in from Kalgoorlie. We always select a venue within 20-25 minutes driving from Perth, so there will always be plenty of accommodation options around the venue and we’d be happy to send you some recommendations.

So what do you need to do?

Firstly, you need to book your time slot as we only have limited places available for each of our Perth Pop Up Wedding dates. Then you can find yourselves fabulous outfits and invite up to 24 of your closest friends and family to share in your marriage before heading off to lunch or dinner to celebrate. Or if an elopement is more your style, we’ll happily act as witnesses to help make it legal… (and keep a lid on it all so you can tell your friends and family in your own time.)

Australian Law says there must be a 1 month notice period between registering your Notice of Intent to Marry and actually tying the knot, but don’t worry as we’ll take care of all the legal paperwork for you.

What if I sign up and then can’t make it?

Unfortunately there is a no refund policy on your booking, unless we can sell your spot. With only a limited number of spaces available it is a first come, first served system and if you cancel for whatever reason we may not be able to fill the space. If we do manage to fill your vacant space after you have cancelled, we will happily refund you your payment in full (minus the booking fee).

What’s the cost involved?

Because you’re sharing the cost of your venue and wedding suppliers with other brides who want to get married on the same day, our team is able to give you the wedding of your dreams for just $1,500 (+GST). Better still, you can secure your spot with just a $375 booking fee, with the balance due in monthly instalments before the wedding. (Four payments of $375 + GST). This fee includes everything from your marriage certificate to your photographs, not to mention the incredible styled ceremony location, bridal bouquet and drinks and sweets for you and your guests. Who knew you could get married in such style for just over a grand?!
