Welcome! We are glad youre here! We invite you to seek out the folks wearing the Ask Me badge. Through them you will find information about the ministries of Salem Heights Church and how to become involved. Please fill out a Visitor Card and drop it in one of the offering boxes as you leave or scan this code to go directly to our website and fill out a visitor card. We have an excellent nursery and programs for children newborn through high school. Any of the ushers will be happy to direct you to the proper classroom. If you feel more comfortable having your infant with you during the service, the last row in the Auditorium will be reserved for parents with small children. There is a private room for nursing mothers across the hall from the Auditorium with a rocking chair, changing table and portable crib. For your convenience, it also includes a monitor to enable you to still hear and view the service.

Welcome Luncheon Salem Heights will host our next Welcome Luncheon for all newcomers to the church on April 26. If you have filled out a visitor card within the past six months, you are invited! However, we want all who are new to Salem Heights Church to feel welcome to attend (even if you havent filled out a visitor card). A question and answer time with the pastors and a tour of the church campus will be on the agenda for the afternoon. Childcare, including lunch for the children, is provided.

Girls Night In Special speaker Laura Chica, fresh from her trip to Haiti, shares with us truth from Gods Word that applies across the continents and cultures, that Jesus + NOTHING = LIFE. Please come and be refreshed and renewed as we worship and fellowship together! You don't want to miss this night.

Cause Spring Hangout Cause students, plan to join us Friday, April 24 from 5pm to 11pm for our Spring Hangout. Plan on good food, fellowship, fun and Truth from Gods Word. Dinner and snacks will be provided. A suggested donation for the evening is $10. We look forward to hanging with you!

Cause Donations needed During the upcoming Cause Spring Hangout, our middle school girls will be participating in a craft time. Donations for that craft time would be greatly appreciated. The following items are needed: felt fabric, glue guns, elastic ribbon and buttons. If you feel led to donate any of these items, they can be dropped off at the church office throughout the week. If you have any questions, contact Christa in the church office.

Giving Update

THE MINISTRY OF SALEM HEIGHTS CHURCH The ministry of Salem Heights Church is funded entirely by the generous giving of Gods people. You will notice that we do not pass the offering plate; however, there are offering boxes in the back of the auditorium. We have done this so no one gives out of compulsion. We believe from the Word of God that the Spirit of God will lead people towards giving back to God of their first fruits. ...God loves a cheerful giver (2 Cor. 9:7) and we know He blesses those who take His Word seriously in every regard. Thank you for prayerfully supporting Salem Heights financially as we desire to reach the lost and disciple the Saints.

A Friend Drops In

Ancient conjurors created the illusion of

miracles to keep their followers coming to

them with money. They mimicked the

supernatural to position themselves in the

minds of others as those with special access

to a realm that exercised dominion over the

world and determined the fate of those who

hope to pass from here to there. They

trafficked in the fear of the unknown.

Jesus performed miraculous signs for a very

different purpose. His miracles provided

relief from pain and fear, and taught of a

God who cares deeply about the suffering

of people and who heals for free. Jesus

performed many more miracles than are

described in the Gospels (John 20:30), and

His motivation for them was nothing more

than compassion.

Viewing His miracles as a whole, the

astonishing power of Jesus should be a

source of comfort. The matters we or the

world might consider trivial, He cares about

and wants to remedy. He longs to relieve

our worries and has promised to supply our

most fundamental needs. He has taken

dominion over illness, tragedy, chaos, and

death. And His power is not limited by

time, distance, superstition, prejudice, or

even the forces of evil. He taught by way

of His miracles of resurrection that evil may

win a few skirmishes on earth, but only He

wields everlasting power. The fleeting

seventy to eighty years in these bodies of

disease and eventual death are but a

twinkling compared to the magnificent

and endless delights He has promised to

those who believe.1

Dont miss the value of a faithful friend.

Notice their creativity.

Notice their unashamed commitment.

Notice their sacrificial love.

Dont miss the ability Christ has to read your mind (heart).

He responds quickly to the flicker of faith (v.20).

He registers rejection.

Dont miss the extreme value of forgiveness.

Jesus response was not a gimmick!

Healing is always secondary to eternal life!

Dont miss the paradox of faith.

What is in your heart...

Friend, follower or foe?

Jesus closest friend on earth, the disciple John,

wrote near the conclusion of his Gospel,

Many other signs Jesus performed in the

presence of the disciples, which are not

written in this book; but these have been

written so that you may believe that

Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and

that believing you may have life in His

name (John 20:30-31).

Having read of these authentic miracles Jesus

performed, you are left with an opportunity to

respond to the one who performed them. His

miracles have been recorded so that you may

believe that He is, in fact, the Son of God.

Have you? Will you? Do you?2
