1. Visual Design capabilities – Axure, Photoshop, general design skills

5

2.Meeting/Interview/Usability Testing Facilitation – ability to ask questions that are non-leading, ability to probe further on comments

n/a – Angie had exposure to these events but did not facilitate, I think her experiences have helped her understand the type of soft skills we use during these events.

3. Information Architecture

4 – this one is tricky and can be very complicated. I think Angie did well on the tasks she experienced here and certainly has the potential to refine her skills here given future opportunities.

K. Please identify student contributions to your organizationAngie had three main tasks this summer and completed all of them on time and above our expectations. It’s important to note that all three required her to learn a new application first. She greatly expanded our widget library in our Axure prototyping tool by creating widgets which matched our brand standards and designed them in a way that we can re-use quickly and easily in our Axure prototypes. She re-organized our Sharepoint site so that our files are more easily located. Finally, she QA’d one of our strategic business platforms to ensure that the re-design followed our established patterns and brand standards. Additionally, she observed persona interview sessions and usability testing and helped us take notes and document the issues found in those sessions.

Angie learns quickly and works well independently. She is curious and interested in learning and not afraid of new things. We really enjoyed having her here and she would be an asset to any organization she pursues.

L. Would you consider this intern for a permanent position, if one was available? Absolutely.

M. Additional Comments

Angie had an opportunity to do some public speaking with her Capstone Project. She has a very comfortable presence on stage and her personality really showed through. She is an exceptionally amiable and good-natured person, and it comes across even on stage. Even though she stumbled a bit during her second speaking part, she was able to carry it off well and remain poised and sharp.
