The Chapel

Our charming private Chapel provides a unique location for the most memorable of wedding

ceremonies. The Chapel can be used for religious ceremonies & is also available as the Gun Room for civil or humanist ceremonies. The terrace doors of the Chapel that lead onto the patio overlook

beautiful Scottish green parkland and the meandering South Esk River.

Sir Alexander Suite

The perfect place to enjoy arrival drinks & your evening reception, with a dance floor perfect for live entertainment of your choice, the Alexander Suite includes private

use of its own bar & can accommodate up to 110 guests. The suite can also provide a unique setting for your wedding breakfast for up to 50 guests.

Dalwolsey Lounge

The Dalwolsey lounge offers a more intimate locale for smaller parties, the ideal setting to unwind & enjoy after dinner drinks.

Ramsay Room

The grand setting of the Ramsay Room is sure to impress, with its beautiful mantels, castle thrones, spectacular chandeliers & large windows it is perfect for up to 100 guests.

The Dungeon Restaurant

It is hard to imagine a more evocative setting than the Dungeon Restaurant, with weapons & armour adorning the thick stone castle walls, this restaurant really does display the castle’s history.

This service is available for all weddings, so you can be confident in the knowledge that you & your guests can simply relax and enjoy your day.

Pipe Sergeant

We offer the service of our Castle’s Pipe Sergeant complimentary for weddings of 20 adults or above. Our in-house Piper will be pleased to pipe your guests in & out of the Chapel, pipe you in to your

wedding breakfast & you may also cut your wedding cake with the Pipers Sword.

Personalised Wedding Stationery

If preferred we can also provide personalised menu cards, table plans, table names & printed place cards for your day.

Cake Base

Available for use we have a round or square cake base as well as provide a cake knife.

Bedrooms & Availability

For the perfect end to the perfect day, retire to one of our individually styled bedrooms, then enjoy a hearty full Scottish breakfast in our Orangery restaurant.

As a guest at Dalhousie Castle you are also welcome to use our Spa Facilities.

Dalhousie Castle offers 29 beautiful bedrooms in the castle. All of our rooms are the epitomy of olde worlde charm & comfort. Within this we have 20 historically themed bedrooms, each individually designed and elegantly styled. All rooms have ensuite facilities, multi channel TV & Radio, self dial

telephone, and razor socket. They are all fitted with irons & ironing board and hairdryers. A welcoming hospitality tray will be ready for your arrival,

along with fluffy bathrobes and soft slippers.

Castle Rocks

Fully refurbished, the Castle Rocks lodge is just a short walk from the main castle building. It hosts 6 bedrooms each designed with luxury in mind.

Castle Rocks is perfect to hire exclusively for your wedding party.

You can book 35 bedrooms including all of our Castle Rocks bedrooms, (subject to availability) without opting for exclusive use of the castle. We do offer discounted rates for wedding party

reservation. Please note that our check-in time is 2.30pm for all guests staying at the castle including any wedding guests, and check out time is 11.00am on the day of departure.

Booking Procedure

We can provisionally hold a date for up to 2 weeks, after which point it should be confirmed by deposit & signed terms & conditions. The deposit required to confirm wedding bookings is £2000.00.

For weddings of 22 or less guests the deposit required to confirm the wedding booking is £500.00. The 90% balance of payment for the wedding is due 3 months prior to your wedding & the remaining balance 14 days prior. Please note the wedding deposit is for the wedding account only, and does not

cover accommodation. The confirmation deposit is non-refundable. Please note to obtain a marriage license to marry you have to contact the registrar directly

between 3 months & 29 days prior to the ceremony.

Wedding Insurance

Your wedding is the most special day of your life. With so many things to think about we know that a number of our guests have found the peace of mind that taking wedding insurance offers a great

advantage. If you would like to know more about Wedding Insurance just ask your wedding coordinator.

Please note patrons are reminded that they must refrain from smoking in Dalhousie Castle in

accordance with Scottish Law. Thank you.
