(i) With reference to Fig. 4, explain how the world is ‘shrinking’ with the development in transport and communications.

Increased accessibility and communications makes it faster for people to travel over long distances within a short period of time.

This makes the world seem smaller, giving rise to the phenomenon of a ‘shrinking world’.
