Message from the PresidentSince it's founding in 1976, Iota Tau has proven itself to be a stellar chapter, upholding the
name of Sigma with the utmost dignity and pride. Brothers of I.T. have affirmed themselves
repeatedly as a leading organization on the campus and a leading chapter in Sigma,
excelling in community involvement, campus activities, academic achievement and dedication
to, “Culture for Service and Service for Humanity." It has been a pleasure serving as 2014
President and it is with pride that we showcase our 2014 achievements in this annual report.

Social ActionProgramming Initiatives
In April 2014, Iota Tau hosted it's bi-annual Date Auction to raise funds for the March of Dimes. The chapter solicitied charitable donations from restaurants, movie theatres, and local attractions to sponsor each date. Thanks to 16 awe-
some student-leaders on campus, Iota Tau was able to raise more than $800 for March of Dimes.

Bucks 4 Bears, is a signature semesterly Iota Tau campaign that raises funds for St. Jude's Research Hospital. The chapter conducts a stuffed animal drive at a local ele-mentary school and rewards the class that collects the most stuffed animals with a pizza party and special appearance from Mr. Blu Blu, the chapter mascot. Bears received from each elementary school are washed and then resold for charitable donations to go to St. Jude's Research Hospital. Bucks 4 Bears raised approximately $475 for St. Jude's Research Hospital in 2014.
Social ActionIn October 2014, Iota Tau addressed the dangers of domestic violence and how to develop healthy rela-tionships during "Breaking The Silence,” a domestic vio-lence forum organized in collaboration with the University Women’s Center, Zeta Phi Beta and Sigma Lambda Gamma sororities. The program consisted of guest speakers and open panel discussions. The event was organized in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month and designed to create an environment where students can learn about domestic violence and have a safe place to express themselves. In consideration of the sensitive subject, Iota Tau partnered with the women’s center and sororities to address the issue the right way.
In October 2014, Iota Tau collaborated with the Black Artist Intitiative at LSU to host an evening dedicated to art appreciation and Breast Cancer Awareness. Visual artist donated pain-tings to be sold to raise
funds for the Susan G. Komen Foundation, and other artist performed spoken word and dance. Approximately 50 indivi-duals attended the event to share experience orginial art and honor those fighting and those that have lost the battle against Breast Cancer. Attendees directly affected by Breast Cancer were given a pink ribbon to wear at the program and were given the opportunity to speak at the end.

Education
Iota Tau believes that the improvement and economic conditions of minorities is a major factor in the improvement of the general welfare of society. It is upon this conviction that the Bigger and Better Business Program rests. In 2014, the Bigger and Better Business committee sponsored PBS 100: How to be a Profes-sional, Game of Life and Sigmas Suited for Success.
PBS 100: How to be a Professional is two-day event that offers resume critiques, mock interviews, a profes-sional dress workshop, plus a guest presentation about personal branding and marketing.
Game of Life is a fun, interactive experience that raises awareness of financial education, social inequalities and their impacts on society, fol-lowed by a financial literacy presentation delived by a Campus Federal Credit Union Representative.
Suited for Success is a program where brothers organize a suit drive at local business and churches and later provide the donated items to students on campus. Students are also provided with tie teaching lessons, individual body measurements, and tips for dressing professionally and business casual.
In 2014, Iota Tau donated school supplies to classrooms in need at South Baton Rouge Charter Academy. The school supply giveaway is an annual effort to provide a positive learning environment for the rest of the school year, as well as, to demonstrate the impor-tance of education and encourage elementary school children to continue their education to college.
The chapter has also formed a relationship with Thrive Academy Baton Rouge where brothers mentor and tutor at-risk youth.

The Iota Tau Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity prides itself in serving Louisiana State University and the Baton Rouge Metropolitan area as well as our interconnected world.
In 2014, members of the Iota Tau chapter dedicated an average 28 hours of community service in 2014, and nearly 400 hours collectively. Locally, the Iota Tau chapter organizes events, such as Bucks for Bears, Project VOTE, Sleep Out for the Homeless, and the annual Sigma School Supply Drive.

Chapter Operations
Meetings• Held weekly on Sundays, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. • Advisors present at every chapter meeting.• Conducted under Robert's Rules of Order.
Chapter RetreatsSummer - Weekend long retreat at Tickfaw State Park, where the chapter fosters brotherhood, dis-cusses any necessary amendments to the chapter constitution, and plans for the upcoming academic year.
Winter - Full day of evalutation, planning, and officer elections.
BudgetIn 2014 the chapter’s budget was split into four categories: Fraternity, Programming, Intake, and Conferences.
