Claston Sunanon is Director of Fuels, Power Marketing, Contracts & Settlements at Orlando Utilities Commission (OUC). This includes responsibility for OUC’s coal sup-ply, coal transportation, natural gas supply, natural gas transportation, wholesale power marketing, contracts, budgets and the settlement process in the power pool.

He began his career at Dayton Power & Light started working at OUC in 1989.

Other accomplishments include playing a key role in the successful restructuring of OUC’s generation asset port-

folio, creating the wholesale marketing arm for OUC and the power pool and play a key role as OUC is

transitioning from CAPP to Illinois basin.

Sunanon earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from Wright State University and a Master’s Degree from the University of Miami.

PAUL MCELROYManaging Director and Chief Executive Offi cer at JEA —

Mr. McElroy is Managing Director and Chief Executive Offi cer of JEA – Jacksonville, Florida’s municipally owned electric, water and waste-

water utility. The JEA Board of Directors named Paul the company’s seventh Chief Executive Offi cer effective October 1, 2012. From January 1, 2006 to October 1, 2012, he served as JEA’s Chief Financial Offi cer. Prior to that, he served as JEA’s Vice President, Financial Services.

Mr. McElroy currently serves on the boards of The Ener-gy Authority, Inc. (“TEA”), Colectric Partners Inc., Florida Reliability Coordinating Council, Northeast Florida Safety Council, Inc., and the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce. Mr. McElroy is a member of the American Public Power Association Board’s Executive Committee and serves as Treasurer, as well as a member of the Large Public Power Council CEO Roundtable.

Mr. McElroy holds a Bachelor of Science in accounting from St. Joseph’s College in Rensselaer, Indiana and a certifi cate from the Advanced Management Program of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and pursued graduate level studies at the University of Bridgeport and the University of New Haven in Con-necticut.

Before joining JEA, Mr. McElroy served as a Vice President and General Manager for Bombardier Capital Corporation in Jacksonville, Florida and Colchester, Vermont. Prior to that, he served in a variety of manage-ment positions with Pitney Bowes Credit Corporation, including Controller, Director – Marketing and Vice President, Internal Finance Division in Norwalk, Con-necticut.

LONNIE N. CARTERPresident and Chief Executive Of-fi cer, Santee Cooper —

Lonnie N. Carter is President and Chief Executive Offi cer of Santee Cooper, South Carolina’s state-owned electric utility. The Santee

Cooper Board of Directors named Carter the company’s eighth Chief Executive Offi cer on January 26, 2004.

He joined Santee Cooper in 1982 as an employee in the controller’s offi ce. Since that time, he has held vari-ous positions including Manager of Corporate Forecast-ing, Vice President of Corporate Forecasting and Senior Vice President of Customer Service.

Prior to his appointment as President and Chief Execu-tive Offi cer for Santee Cooper, he served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Planning and Bulk Power. In 1997, on loan from Santee Cooper, he was instru-mental in founding and served as the fi rst President and Chief Executive Offi cer of The Energy Authority. Based in Jacksonville, Florida, TEA is a joint power marketing organization comprised of publicly owned utilities.

Carter serves on the boards of Palmetto Economic Devel-opment Corporation, Charleston Regional Development Alliance Economic Leadership Council, Trident CEO Council, The Energy Authority and Colectric Partners Inc. He is Chairman of the Large Public Power Council and Past Chairman of the American Public Power As-sociation and Trident United Way Board. He serves on advisory boards for The Citadel School of Business, the University of South Carolina School of Engineering and the Clemson University Presidential Advisory Board. He is an Elder in the First Presbyterian Church in Moncks Corner.

Carter received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Busi-ness Administration in 1982 and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration in 1987, both from The Citadel. In 2005 Carter received the Distinguished Leadership Award from The Citadel Business Hall of Fame. He received the Free Enterprise Foundation Award for Ethics and Civic Responsibility in 2009 and APPA’s highest honor in 2012, the Alex Radin Distinguished Service Award.

A native of Ehrhardt, S.C., he is married to Laurie McRee Carter and they have three children. The Carters reside in Moncks Corner.

James C. Grech currently serves as Executive Vice President & Chief Commercial Offi cer of CONSOL

Energy Inc. In this capacity he is responsible for CONSOL Energy’s sales and marketing, transportation services, CNX Land Resources, and Research and De-velopment groups, as well as Fairmont Supply. Grech most recently served as Senior Vice President of CNX Land Resources, Inc. He joined the company in 2001 as the Vice President of Business Development, was named Vice President Energy Marketing in 2003, Vice President NAPP Gas & Energy Marketing for CNX Gas in 2004, and was promoted to Senior Vice President – Marketing of CONSOL Energy Sales Company in 2005.

Prior to joining CONSOL, Grech had worked since 1985 for Michigan power generator DTE Energy. He served as Vice President of Marketing for DTE Coal Ser-vices and Director Fuel Supply for Detroit Edison. Grech is a member of the American Coal Council and the National Coal Transportation Association. He serves on the Board of Trustees for the Monongahela Valley Hospital, and is a board member of Mon-Vale Health Resources and Mon-Vale Non-Acute Care Services. Ms. Dougher has been interviewed on all the national network TV shows, as well as on numerous radio news shows, extensively quoted in newspapers and has testi-fi ed before federal and state legislators.

Prior to joining API, Ms. Dougher was at the Institute for Energy Analysis where her research focused on carbon dioxide related issues and international energy demand and supply forecasts. She holds a Masters degree in Economic Development and East Asian studies from the American University and a Bachelors degree in History and Political Science from the State University of New York at Brockport.

Jim Thompson, Director for IHS Coal and IHS Coal Markets Expert, has analyzed and provided insight on coal markets for more than two

decades. He is lead commentator for the IHS Coal & Energy daily newsletter and editor of US Coal Review. Thompson’s major area of expertise is the North Ameri-can coal markets, though he is conversant on worldwide market trends.

Mr. Thompson’s expertise is both in thermal coal for electricity production and metallurgical coal for use in the steelmaking process. He is widely quoted in by major fi nancial newspapers and speaks at multiple industry-related conferences. Thompson has performed coal market consultations both for coal producers and consumers as well as for fi nancial analysts and inves-tors. Thompson’s views on the coal markets are widely read throughout the world. Thompson came to IHS as a part of its acquisition of Energy Publishing, of which he was a co-founder. Mr. Thompson was educated at Dal-las Baptist University.

Bianca Prade is a Vice President in SKDKnickerbocker’s public af-fairs and strategic communications practice. Bianca’s work has led to several awards, including PR

Newswire’s 2013 Earnies Awards and PR News’ Social Media Icon Awards for 2013. Her body of work has also won Pollie Awards from the American Association of Political Consultants in 2011 for best use of social media and Twitter for the “Clean Coal Technology. It Works.” campaign and in 2012 and 2013 for digital advocacy efforts on federal legislation and regulation. In 2011, she was named to PR Week’s “40 Under 40: Ones to Watch” list.

She has been working in corporate and online com-munications for nearly 20 years, most recently as Vice President of Digital Strategy for the American Coalition for Clean Coal Electricity. Bianca has also held top-level digital strategy positions at competitive companies and digital fi rms. As senior programming manager at America Online, she managed, developed and launched AOL’s BlackVoices, a community news site for African-Americans. At NavigationArts, a digital media agency, she created content strategies and managed projects for clients such as Marriott, NASDAQ, Sallie Mae and the State Department. Bianca also spent two years as the vice president of Web strategy and opera-tions for the Newspaper Association of America, where she redefi ned and integrated the organization’s Web and online product vision.

As a member of the adjunct faculty at American University’s School of Communication, Bianca teaches undergraduate and graduate classes on strategic com-munications.

Bianca graduated with a B.A. in English from the Univer-sity of Maryland at College Park and an M.A. in interac-tive communications from American University. Bianca has also completed the Leadership for Extraordinary Performance Program and the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business.

Mr. Schwartz is the President of the consulting fi rm of Energy Ventures Analysis, and was one of the found-ers of the fi rm in 1981. He and his

fi rm specialize in analysis of the energy markets, includ-ing forecasts of supply, demand and prices.

Mr. Schwartz manages EVA’s coal consulting practice, working for investors, consumers and producers in the analysis of coal markets. EVA publishes regular reports on coal markets, including forecasts and current market data.

Mr. Schwartz consults on coal procurement activities and served as President of Centennial Resources, a medium-sized coal producer, during its bankruptcy restructuring.

He received a degree in Geological Engineering from Princeton University in 1977.

DANIEL T. MARTINSenior Vice President & Chief Commercial Offi cer, Ingram Barge Company —Dan Martin is a 1976 graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration – Economics. In 2004 Dan completed the Advanced Executive Program at Kellogg School of Management of Northwestern University.

He began his career in 1976 in the copper industry and joined the barge trans-portation industry in 1979 where he has held various management positions. Dan joined Ingram Barge Company in 1990 as Vice President, Dry Cargo Sales and has held positions of increasing responsibility. He was named Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Offi cer in 2007 and is currently responsible for all commercial aspects of Ingram Barge Company and its subsidiaries and affi liates. Since June 2005 Dan has served on the National Coal Council. Members are ap-pointed by the Secretary of Energy to advise, inform and make recommendations to the Secretary on matters relating to coal and the coal industry.

In 2007 Dan was appointed by the Secretary of the Army to serve a four year term on the Inland Waterways Users Board, an independent Federal advisory committee which makes recommendations to the Secretary of the Army and Congress regard-ing lock and dam construction and major rehabilitation priorities. During his term Dan served as Board Vice Chairman.

JAMES HELLER Hellerworx, Inc., Chevy Chase, MD —

Jamie Heller is President of Hellerworx, Inc, which is a virtual consultancy. For more than 35 years, Jamie has consulted on energy, environmental and transportation matters. Along with associates, he provides strategic, economic and market expertise in areas related specifi cally to coal, rail, and electric generation matters.

He was formerly a Senior Partner with PA Consulting, founder and President of Fieldston Company, Inc, Fieldston Publications, and Fieldston Transportation Servic-es. He is an investor in White Oak, a 7 MMtpy longwall mining operation located in southern Illinois that began operations in mid-2013. He has testifi ed as an expert in numerous matters in the U.S. and abroad. He has an M.B.A. from Harvard Busi-ness School and an electrical engineering degree from Northwestern University.

JACK REID Director of Fuel Supply, Seminole Electric Cooperative, Inc.—

In February 2002, W. Jack Reid was named Director of Fuel Supply. He is responsible for ensuring a cost effective, reliable supply of generating fossil fuels and fuel transportation for Semi-nole electric generation resources.

Before joining Seminole, Reid was director of fuels for Westar En-ergy, Inc. (formerly Kansas Power and Light), and held various fuels-related manage-ment and engineering positions prior to being appointed director.

Reid earned a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Oklahoma State University. He is Seminole’s representative and a member of the board of directors for the National Coal Transportation Association, and the past chairman of the Florida Electric Reliability Coordinating Council Gas/Electricity Interdependency Task Force. He resides in Pasco County, Florida with his wife, Beth. They have two daughters.

BOB WHITEAssistant Vice President, Coal and Bulk Operations, CSX Trans-portation —

Bob White has been with CSX and its predecessors for 30 years. Bob began his career in the Operating Department serving as Trainmaster in several key areas of the West Virginia Coal Fields. He then held several staff positions in the Transportation group in Baltimore. Bob then became Director- Bulk Terminals running all

of the CSX-owned and operated terminal facilities, including the coal and ore piers in Newport News, VA, Baltimore, MD and Toledo, OH; he also had the Phosphate facility in Tampa, FL under his direction. Bob also served as Vice President and Gen-eral Manager of the Los Angeles Export Terminal before returning to CSX in 2002.

Bob had been Director of Utility Coal Sales and Marketing prior to accepting his cur-rent role as AVP Coal and Bulk Operations. Bob will be in his current role for 1 year on May 1, 2014. Bob is a graduate of the University of Baltimore where he earned his BS in Management in his home town of Baltimore. Bob currently resides in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL (Jacksonville Offi ce) with his wife, Rhonda of 25 years and their children: Lindsay a sophomore at UNF and Michael, a senior at Ponte Vedra HS.

BRIAN MILESVice President of Sales, United Bulk Terminals —

Brian Miles is the Vice President of Sales for United Bulk Terminals, a division of Oiltanking, members of the Marquard & Bahls group of companies.

Brian got his start in logistics in the United States Air Force in 1992. He spent three years on active duty and six years in the

Louisiana Air National Guard.

After leaving active duty, he fi nished his degree at Southeastern Louisiana Univer-sity and after graduation, Brian began his career in marine transportation working for a New Orleans-based barge line. From there, he worked for another barge line, before fi nally landing at Electro-Coal Transfer (now known as United Bulk Terminals Davant) in 2001.

Brian is responsible for the sales of Oiltanking’s bulk handling business unit - United Bulk Terminals - domestically and abroad. Brian resides with his wife and two children in Estelle, Louisiana.
