Boys and girls will compete separately in local competitions The top finisher in each of the five age groups (6-7 8-9 10-11 12-13 and 14-15 age verification as of Dec 31 2014) will advance to the sectional competition The top five finishers in each sectional competition group will advance to the team championship at a Dallas Cowboys half-time event The top four scorers in each team champion group will advance to the national finals at an NFL playoff game Parents must provide a birth certificate copy

Eureka Playground in South Lakes Park is the most loved playground in Denton In 1995 hundreds of volunteers came together to design and build Eureka ndash a labor of love

The cost to maintain the 20-year-old playground to ensure basic safety standards continues to climb and does not meet the newer standards of the Consumer Product Safety Commission and the American Society for Testing and Materials

Most importantly Eureka does not offer much access to kids with special needs

EUREKA Looking BackLike the first playground Eureka 2 will be built with your community participation at every level while preserving the names of the original volunteers

With your input it will be the most accessible playground in Denton for special needs children and will be built using longer lasting low maintenance materials
