2013 Pool Registration Package

Welcome to the 2013 Season! Opening Day will be Saturday, May 25th from 11:00AM to 8:00PM. Our tradition for opening weekend brunch for all Bayberry Association members continues with brunch being served at 10:00AM on Sunday May 26th. We will remain open until 8:00PM. On Memorial Day, Monday, May 27th, we will be open from 11:00AM to 8:00 PM. Please come and join us and see what’s new at Bayberry this year! HOURS OF OPERATION We will be open the weekend of June 1st and 2nd from 11AM to 8PM. Starting June 8th, we will be open each weekend from 11AM to 8PM and during the week from 3PM to 7PM. Starting June 22nd, we will be open from 11AM to 8PM every day! We will also be open late on Thursdays and Fridays until 9PM. Note on Pool hours - After careful consideration of prior years pool usage, we are modifying the pool hours to start one hour later on the weekends, and close at 9 PM on Friday nights (parties or events excepted), but we are changing pool policy to guarantee the pool remains open to published times except for inclement weather. FEES Fees for the 2013 season remain unchanged. The fees are: One person per household: $425 with 15 FREE Guest Admissions if paid by May 15th. Two persons per household: $800 with 30 FREE Guest Admissions if paid by May 15th. Families (3 or more persons): $850 with 15 FREE Guest Admissions if paid by May 15th. Note: These fees include an initial deposit to your concession account - $50 (one person household) or $100 (all others). GUEST POLICY Guest admission fees will be charged on all days. Fees must be paid at the time of entry to the pool property. This year we will implement a new method of paying guest fees that involves the purchase of guest admission cards ($10 each, $1 per punch) directly from the Concession. The Gate staff will punch your guest admission card to accommodate the number of guests in attendance and store the guest admission card for you in the Pool Membership Book. Fees are: Weekdays Adults - $3.00 Children 3-12 - $1.00 Children under 3 – Free Weekends Adults - $5.00 Children 3-12 - $3.00 Children under 3 – Free Members are allowed up to 8 guests on a weekday and 5 guests on weekends or holidays. Non-resident family members are considered guests. During the pre-season, guests are limited to 3 per household on weekdays to ensure everyone’s safety due to pre-season staffing limitations.

New for 2013 – the Pool Guest Admission Card is an easy way to allow your guests to join you at the pool, without having to manage cash at the front desk. Cards can be purchased at the concession (cash or on account) ahead of time and stored in your profile page in the pool membership book. Don’t worry, last minute cards can be purchased at the front desk via the concession account system – just fill out a chit and sign and a guest card will be made available to you immediately. REGISTRATION This year, we are excited to inform you that you can now register online for Pool Membership by going to www.bayberryhome.org/poolregistration. As a special incentive, each online membership will receive one $10 Pool Guest Admission Card, as long as payment is made by May 15. Members are free to choose between online registration or by paper. In either case, your checks will still need to be sent in the accompanying envelope by May 15th. Online registration makes it easier to submit photos for verification and allows for easier updating each year! Many Bayberry Association members and all our committees have worked hard over the winter to enhance our facility and operations. We are confident you will enjoy the benefits of our new dining area furniture and seeing our newly renovated sports area for kid, youth and adult sports including basketball. We also have newly invigorated pool and social committees that are organizing an active social calendar including Sundaes on Sunday, and Friday night events including more regular evening buffets and movie nights. We are tremendously excited about the upcoming season and look forward to seeing you all at the pool!

CONCESSION We are pleased to announce the return of Mike O’Neill as our Concessionaire. Mike and his team will be making a number of improvements this year to enable more dinner options for us in response to feedback from last year. We welcome any additional feedback you may have. Your pool membership dues include a mandatory, non-refundable amount to start the season. This will become a credit at the concession in your name and will be ready for use on opening day. Sorry, refunds are not possible. Once you have used the initial concession credit, additional credit can be purchased via cash or credit card. Association Dues and Payment of Arrears As always, the use of the Bayberry Pool and Tennis Club is an optional benefit of your Bayberry Association Membership. In order to use the pool, your association dues need to be in good standing. If you would like to join the pool, but due to personal financial reasons are unable to pay in full, please contact David Fidock, Bayberry Association President, to make arrangements. All inquiries will be held in strict confidence. Your pool dues can only be accepted once your Bayberry Association dues have been paid. If you have arrears that you would like to pay, either in full or over time, please contact Stephanie Ginsberg at 654-1814. Any reasonable arrangement will be considered. In accordance with Bayberry’s by-laws, no Bayberry resident (including children) may enter the pool as another resident’s guest. We urge all residents to support our association and join the pool! A list of pool members will be posted on the bulletin board at the pool. If you have not paid your Association Dues yet, please enclose them with your pool membership payment in this registration packet. Instructions for Completing the Bayberry Pool Card Section II: List only permanent residents of your household who are entitled to membership. In Section IIA, please submit new or recent photos of each member of your household that can be used to verify them at entry. Please enter their name and age on the back. We cannot guarantee entry to the pool without a photo being submitted. Section III: You may elect to allow your non-resident parents or children (and their spouses) entry to the pool without you being present. Fill in their names where indicated. They may admit guests up to the maximum allowed under your policy for that day, and you will be charged a guest fee (your card will be punched) whenever they sign in at the main gate. All persons listed in Section III must bring a new or recent photo when they first come, to be left on file at the pool in section IIIA. Section IV: Please sign Section IV to grant permission for children who will be entering the 6th grade and up to age 16 to enter the pool facility without a parent being present. If you do not wish to give such permission, do not sign Section IV. To: Bayberry Pool and Tennis Membership From: Kyle Mintzer 2013 Pool Director Welcome to the 2013 Season! After a long, cold and snowy winter, the opening Memorial Day weekend is just weeks away. Words cannot even begin to describe how excited I am to begin this summer. After spending the past two summers as Assistant, it is truly an honor to be your Pool Director for the summer of 2013. My assistant director for this year will be Connor Hopkins. With our knowledge and experience, we have great expectations for this to be an outstanding summer. We are also very excited about the lifeguard staff, as there will be many guards from previous years, as well as a few new faces. Enclosed in this package you will find the new hours for the pool in effect for this summer. This year, we are pledging that the pool will not close before scheduled times under any circumstances, with the exception of inclement weather. This should allow our evening lap swimmers plenty of times to stay in shape, or just provide for a nice evening cool down. After much planning, we are excited to announce that there will be many activities this summer, including Friday night dinners, weekend swim games, ice cream sundae contests, special events on holidays, trivia nights and more. I truly can’t wait for the summer to begin, as I am certain it will be one that we all remember for many years to come.
