Dear Blue Raider Fans:

I want to give a special thank you to every member of the Blue Raider Athletic Association. Your support and financial commitment guided the BRAA to another record year in 2012-2013.

This is our eighth publication of the Blue Raider Athletic Association Business Directory. Participation continues to grow and many new BRAA member companies continue to be added each year. Thank you for such a great response. I encourage our fans, supporters, students, and alumni to do business with the companies listed in our business directory.

Our philosophy is to support businesses that support Blue Raider Athletics by making annual contributions to the Blue Raider Athletic Association. Each of the organizations and individuals in our directory is an integral part of Blue Raider Athletics by helping to provide financial support for the young men and women who participate in our athletic program.

Please share with these companies that you are doing business with them because of their support of Middle Tennessee Athletics. If you would like to be a part of this directory, a minimum donation of $750.00 to the BRAA is required. You can contact the BRAA office at 615-898-2210 or go online at www.goblueraiders.com and JOIN TODAY!

Go Blue Raiders!

The Blue Raider Athletic Association (BRAA) is a university-affiliated support organization consisting of donors to the intercollegiate athletic programs.

There are membership levels with a schedule of benefits based upon the amount contributed. The BRAA is commited to the proposition that academic achievement should be the number one priority of any student-athlete.

STATEMENT OF PURPOSEOur mission is to support, promote, and enhance nationally competitive intercollegiate athletic programs, which mirror the interest of the students, faculty, alumni, and friends of Middle Tennessee State University. These programs provide a sense of pride and a source of enthusiasm while instilling loyalty to the University. The spirit of the academic community is stimulated and enriched by these programs. They supply a means of communication between the University and its graduates long after they leave campus. Also they serve as rallying points for people of all ages and backgrounds that share this common interest.

By providing direct financial and moral support, we strive to heighten academic growth through the success of our athletic programs. As the athletic programs gain strength and notoriety, the University benefits by attracting higher quality students.

Above all, we recognize that the University’s obligation is to the state of Tennessee and to the parents who entrust their children to this University. Our duty is to provide our students with a quality education and experience. This includes academic achievement, which contributes to their social development and prepares them for meaningful lives and careers. We are committed to the idea that academic achievement should not be a gift. Rather it is a challenge that must be met by the individual students as well as the University.
