Army and Navy Academy

For over 100 years, the Army and Navy Academy has prepared young men for success by building their resolve to succeed in college and in life. As we preserve the important traditions that built ANA, we also face the challenge to meet the needs of today’s cadet by incorporating new ideas and the latest technology into our curriculum and practices. What was once supported almost entirely by tuition and fees, the margin of excellence we’ve come to call The Army Navy Experience — is increasingly dependent on the support we receive from you — through tax-deductible contributions to the Warrior Fund.

The support of our parents, grandparents, alumni, families of alumni, faculty/staff and friends has a tremendous impact on our cadets’ experience and on ANA’s future as an educator. The role of the Office of Development is to help our parents, alumni and friends make ANA the best it can be. There are many ways that you can help the Army and Navy Academy and we invite you to learn more about them. At ANA, our promise is to support every cadet’s personal journey to success by giving him the tools he needs to reach his potential.

Every year, the Warrior Fund provides the resources necessary to ensure that our cadets have the best opportunity to fulfill their promise for success…

Ways to Give

How can we support the Warrior Fund?Unrestricted cash gifts provide the most valuable support to the Academy. Designated gifts are also graciously accepted. Gifts of appreciated stock can provide significant contributions to the Academy and provide tax benefits to the donor. For more information, visit our Ways to Give page on the Academy website or contact the Development Office. Is our gift to the Warrior Fund tax-deductible? Yes. Army and Navy Academy is a 501 (c) 3 charitable organization, therefore your gift is tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law. We always encourage you to consult with your tax advisors with questions regarding tax deductibility of your gifts. Why doesn’t tuition cover all costs? Tuition gives your son access to more than it covers. Like most independent schools, tuition income only covers a percentage of the cost to educate, therefore the Academy relies on gifts to the Warrior Fund to help close the gap. However, the Academy remains committed to enhancing its program to go above and beyond the basics, for our cadets. To do so, we rely on the goodwill and generous tax-deductible support of those who are willing and able to help – be they parents, grandparents, alumni, families of alumni, faculty/staff and friends – to ensure a top notch academy experience for every cadet. Why should I give? Tuition covers 94% of the Academy’s operating budget, therefore, like many idependent schools, the Academy works to close the gap through annual fundraising. Funds donated are tax-deductible and are spent in the year received, providing an immediate benefit to cadets. How much should I give? The Warrior Fund is comprised of gifts of all sizes and every gift is highly valued. In recent years, gifts to the ‘Fund’ have ranged from $5 to $50,000. The average contribution last year was $650.
