Elaine Poh Ee TEO from Malaysia, London School of Economics, studying Mathematics & Economics❛ I enjoyed Bellerbys College, particularly the style of teaching. Haoxuan LI from China, University of the Arts London, studying Fashion Textiles❛ The teachers at Bellerbys really helped me. We did lots of art projects which were helpful for me. Bellerbys also helped me to fi nd a suitable course for further studies. The Foundation English class taught me lots of language skills and also improved my speaking. Bellerbys also helped me to know more about London and British culture.❜

Shafi que UR-REHMAN from Pakistan, Chief Executive Offi cer, Rehman Medical Institute Limited❛ After a year at Bellerbys, I gained entry into the second year of a BA programme at the University of Kent where I completed my degree.
I am currently working as a CEO in the Rehman Medical Institute Limited, Pakistan. Without Bellerbys, I don’t think I would have progressed to a distinguished University such as Kent, neither would I have been able to attain the position I am currently in.❜
Jubril ALAO from Nigeria, IT Management Consultant❛ Whilst studying at Bellerbys, the constant encouragement by teachers to challenge theories and ask probing questions during class discussions has provided me with important skills for Software Deployment projects.
I graduated to UCL to study BSc Economics. I subsequently went on to do a Masters in Computer Science at UCL and now work as an IT Management Consultant with a focus on Finance and Controlling software modules.❜

Homestay
66 Homestay bellerbys.com 67
HomestayIf you want to live a relatively independent life, but still have a caring home environment, Homestay is ideal.
Homestay gives you the opportunity to immerse yourself fully in the UK culture and to feel part of a family, eating meals with them, and sharing their lives to get a real experience of British life. All Homestay accommodation is carefully chosen for the security and friendliness it provides and we make regular visits to ensure you have everything you need. We offer a choice of either single or shared rooms. All our hosts will warmly welcome you into their homes.
Included in all Homestay accommodation• Fully equipped study bedroom, including
desk and wardrobe• Breakfast and evening meal from Monday
to Friday with a breakfast and main meal (lunch or dinner) at weekends
• Telephone access• Weekly laundry.
Homestay ExtraHomestay extra retains all the benefits of the homestay experience detailed above, but offers the additional feature to the student of a private bathroom.
Homestay Plus – under 16If you are under 16 years of age, you will be automatically registered for Homestay Plus.(Note: Homestay is only available in London to students who are 16 years old or above).
This gives extra support and higher levels of personal supervision. A detailed care plan will be prepared for you, focusing on class, personal study and curfew times as well as dietary and medical issues. A copy of the care plan will be sent to your parents/guardians, so they know you’re in good hands. Homestay Plus gives extra pastoral care, liaising regularly with the college, and giving extra support to you when you need it.
SharingYou have an option to share your room with another student. Many students find this a very good way to ease the transition of living away from home. They often find it easier to settle in, and benefit from making friends with their new room-mate.
LocationWe aim to place you in Homestays that are as close to our centres as possible. However in some cases, this may involve some travel to the centre, usually by bus or train. This a great way to see more of the city you’re living in.
