Sharply creased lines cover a rear-wheel drive platform designed to deliver a bold

Nürburgring is the yardstick by which all production cars are measured, with

sweeping curves, varying surfaces, dramatic climbs and stomach-churning drops,

all complicated by weather that can change in a heartbeat. There may be other tracks,

but there is only one Nürburgring. It was here that we brought the CTS-V to challenge

the world’s best. Not only did we set the standard for production sedan performance, we

also brought a piece of the German ’Ring home with us. We recreated some of the most

demanding corners from the world’s most formidable racetracks to create the ultimate

test track right in our own backyard so we can practice every day.

Seldom is a philosophy expressed so emphatically.

Start with the mesh grille, designed not only

for its aggressive look, but also for its ability to

efficiently channel more air to the intercooler

feeding the supercharged 556 HP V8 powerplant.

Its rear-wheel drive platform is backed by

a Nürburgring-tuned suspension fitted with

dual-mode Magnetic Ride Control that instantly

adapts to changing road conditions in the blink

of an eye. Assured stopping comes courtesy of

Brembo® six-piston front calipers and lighweight

dual-cast front rotors. And for maximum

acceleration performance, a no-lift-upshift

feature allows the driver to maintain

wide-open throttle during a shift to keep the

engine's supercharger at full boost—and the

engine at full power—when upshifting the manual

transmission. All in all, it's anything but subtle.

From its boldly chiseled shape down to every exacting detail, the exterior of the CTS-V Sedan

was designed to purposefully enhance performance. Its chassis is lower by 10 mm in front and

16 mm in the rear compared to the CTS Sport Sedan to minimize air flowing underneath.

Up front, the bold fascia was designed with an integrated splitter to improve aerodynamics,

while vented ducts force-feed plenty of cooling air to the Brembo® high-performance brakes.

Even the 10-spoke 19" aluminum alloy wheels are forged for lighter weight, proving that the

CTS-V is driven by much more than just the potent engine lurking under the hood.

The performance of the CTS-V Sedan doesn’t end beneath the hood. Inside, we took the

same fearless approach to design and purpose as we did with the advanced engineering.

Available RECARO® seating provides secure back and thigh support to keep you securely

in place during spirited driving. Red LED tracers encircle the tachometer and flash at

the approach of engine redline. Even the available Midnight Sapele wood trim defies

tradition. With its distinct dark grain, designers deemed it a perfect match to harmonize

with performance-oriented features like the sueded microfiber seat inserts and available

microfiber accents on the steering wheel and shift knob. Also breaking with tradition is

the touch-screen navigation,1 incorporating an ingenious glide-up screen. It's the perfect

finishing detail where the unexpected is expected.

One glance clearly conveys the V’s serious intentions. Hunkered down. Confidently chiseled.

Every detail designed with purpose. And while it challenges the world’s most revered sport

sedans, it looks unlike any of them. Where others are content with generic soft, rounded

edges, the V brings its own edge. Even the headlamps and taillamps on the V make

a statement. Distinctively framed by bold LED light pipes, they launch a powerful opening

salvo and make a strong closing statement to an already unmistakable presence.

In the time it takes your brain to tell your eyes

to blink, the V-Series has read the road 10 times.

Adjusting almost instantaneously to the road

surface, camber and condition, Magnetic Ride

Control keeps the suspension dialed-in at all

times and on all roads. A unique combination

of sensors, as well as wheel and braking inputs

from the driver, cue the monotube dampers,

which adapt at the remarkable rate of 1,000

times a second. The system includes dual driving

modes—Tour Mode, for excellent handling and

ride quality; or more aggressive Sport Mode,

perfect for performance maneuvers at the

track. In either mode, chassis composure is

maintained without sacrificing a comfortable

ride. Added benefits include maximized traction

and excellent control of body movement.

It’s a suspension that’s so effective, it’s also

used by a few of the world’s top supercars.

Let’s just say it wasn’t exactly a rational decision. Applying the V formula to a luxury

sport wagon? Well, ideas usually don't get more bold or brazen than that. No other wagon

boasts the high performance credentials of a 556 HP supercharged V8 engine, Brembo®

multi-piston brakes and dual-mode Magnetic Ride Control. And its look is equally intense.

Integrated roof rails take the place of traditional bars to maintain the seamless profile.

Fast-acting signature vertical LED taillamps with light pipe technology extend up and

along the liftgate in back. Good thing, since this is the angle from which this 556 HP

wagon will most likely be seen.

seats folded flat. The interior is also designed to help the driver pilot an extremely powerful

machine. Full instrumentation with an LED-traced tachometer and speedometer, and

available RECARO® power-adjustable front seating are a few of its performance-oriented

features. Floor rails are fitted with attachment points for tie-downs, an absolute must

in any wagon that can go 0–60 in 4.0 seconds.

Your vehicle has a tire sealant and compressor kit that uses a liquid tire sealant to temporarily seal up to a 1/4-inch puncture in the tread area of the tire. After using the inflator kit, it is recommended to take the tire to an authorized dealer for inspection and repair as soon as possible but at least within 100 miles of driving. The tire sealant cannot seal and inflate sidewall damage, punctures larger than 1/4 inch, or a tire that has unseated from the wheel. The sealant can only be used on one tire one time before its expiration date.
