    2011 Australian Open

    The 2011 Australian Open was a tennis tournament featuring six different competitions, and part

    of the 2011 ATP World Tour, the 2011 WTA Tour, ITF Junior Tour and the NEC Tour, as

    tournaments for professional, junior and wheelchair players were held. The tournament took

    place at Melbourne Parkin Melbourne, Australia, from 17 January to 30 January, it was the 99thedition of the Australian Open and the first Grand Slam event of 2011. The tournament was

    played on Plexicushion Prestige AO hard courts and was organised by the International Tennis

    Federation and Tennis Australia. The 2011 Australian Open offered record prize money to both

    men and women of a total of A$25 million (US$24 million), up 3.8% on the total prize money

    from 2010.[14]The winners of the singles titles took home A$2.2 million (US$2.1 million) with

    the finalists receiving A$1.1 million (US$1 million).

    2011 French Open

    The 2011 French Open (also known as Roland Garros, after the famous French aviator) was a

    tennis tournament played on outdoor clay courts. It was the 110th edition of the French Open,

    and the second Grand Slam event of the year. It took place at the Stade Roland Garros in Paris,

    France, from 22 May to 5 June 2011. The tournament was an event run by the International

    Tennis Federation (ITF) and was part of the 2011 ATP World Tour and the 2011 WTA Tour

    calendars under the Grand Slam category.

    *Men's Singles -- Rafael Nadal (Spain) beats Roger Federer(Switzerland).

    *Women's Singles -- Na Li (China) beats Francesca Schiavone (Italy).Li won the 2011 French

    Open singles title, making her the first Asian country representative to win a Grand Slam in

    singles. She had been the first player from an Asian country to appear in a Grand Slam singles

    final with her performance at the 2011 Australian Open.

    *Mens Doubles -- Max Mirnyi (Belarus) and Daniel Nestor(Canada) defeated Juan Sebastian

    Cabal and Eduardo Schwank.

    *Womens Doubles -- Andrea Hlavachova and Lucie Hradecki of Czech Republic defeated

    Indian hottie Sania Mirza and russian Elena Vesnina.

    *Mixed Doubles winners -- Casey Dellacqua & Scott Lipsky.

    2011 Wimbledon Championships

    The 2011 Wimbledon Championships took place at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet

    Club in Wimbledon, London, England, from 20 June to 3 July 2011. It was the 125th edition of

    the championships, and the third Grand Slam tournament of the year. t was played on grasscourts and was part of the ATP World Tour, the WTA Tour, ITF Junior Tour and the NEC Tour.

    The championships were organised by the All England Lawn Tennis Club and the International

    Tennis Federation.
