Rights of EU Citizens (1)
Work
• Free to work in the Maltese labour market (except Bulgarians and Romanians)
• Workers, need an employment licence (to be applied for by the employer)
• Self-employed, no need of employment licence
Rights of EU Citizens (2)
Registering for Work
• EU nationals have the right to register for employment
• Special procedures and conditions that apply in order to receive unemployment benefits
