Frank De Mayo; Shoe Repair Man Frank De Mayo, a lifelong re- sident of Far Rockaway, died suddenly on Monday at his re- sidence, 13-14 McBrlde street.. He The other day a young salesman was telling of an experience he had just come through. It seemed that for a period of monthSj his work has been going downhill. The more he rushed around try-! ing to catch up, the more he seemed to fall behind. "I was in cage," he said. "The faster I ran trying to keep up with everything, the less I was able to go forward." Finally as a last resort he decided to take things more calmly. He set aside a definite period for early morning thinking. At noon he carved out a thirty-minute period for a quiet bit of reading. He refused to talk with anyone during this time. Things began to change almost at once. Before the week was out the young man had begun to seofje a fresh confidence and a new ease in his work. His creative planning was done better. And the many details he still had to take care were attended to with much lpss furor and anxiety. Soon or later, we all find, that our spirits can not grow in a cage. The more we have to do, the more we need, qin*et times to condition ourselves for the doing. Let it not be imagined that we are j suggesting quietness in- stead of activity. In our business we've learned the hard way that quiet planning Is always the first step. Frank De Mayo Shoe Repair Man

Frank De Mayo a lifelong reshysident of Far Rockaway died suddenly on Monday a t his reshysidence 13-14 McBrlde street He

The other day a young salesman was telling of an experience he had just come through It seemed that for a period of monthSj his work has been going downhill The more he rushed around try- ing to catch up the more he seemed to fall behind I was in cage he said The faster I ran trying to keep up with everything the less I was able to go forward

Finally as a last resort he decided to take things more calmly He set aside a definite period for early morning thinking At noon he carved out a thirty-minute period for a quiet bit of reading He refused to talk with anyone during this time

Things began to change almost at once Before the week was out the young man had begun to seofje a fresh confidence and a new ease in his work His creative planning was done better And the many details he still had to take care were attended to with much lpss furor and anxiety

Soon or later we all find that our spirits can not grow in a cage The more we have to do the more we need qinet times to condition ourselves for the doing

Let it not be imagined that we are j suggesting quietness inshystead of activity

In our business weve learned the hard way that quiet planning

Is always the first step A good suggestion therefore to you DO-nWOURSELF men
