Aloha SCORA Paddlers!Oceanside Outrigger Canoe Clubinvites you to join us in Oceanside forour 9-man race. We’re lookingforward to a race day that’s safe and fun for all.

DIRECTIONS (see map)From Interstate 5, take the Harbor Drive exit west. Harbor Drive will take you directly to the entrance of the Harbor.

PARKING (see map)Free parking is available a short distance away from the race site. To reach free parking, take the first left after entering Harbor Drive (under the railroad bridge, across from Joe’s Crab Shack). Oceanside Outrigger provides free shuttle service to and from the parking lot.

CANOE & BOAT TRAILERS (see map)Canoe trailer parking is $15.00 and is located at the race site. Spots for trailer parking will be reserved by Oceanside Outrig-ger members until 6:30 am. (After 6:30, spots are released to the public.) Please have your canoe trailers at the Harbor before 6:30 am.

Canoes are to be rigged on the beach and launched from the South and Middle boat ramps only. Proceed to Launch ramp when all 6 paddlers are ready to immediately paddle away.

Please bring your carts.

Because the Oceanside boat ramp can be very busy on a summer morning, we ask that canoes get rigged early and placed on the water as soon as possible to facilitate the start of the races. You will be able to catch up with your escort boat and set your starting crew in the mouth of the harbor.

Escort boatsEscort boats will only be assigned by reservation. The deadline for reservations is Sunday, August 13th. Boat fees are $500.00 per boat for the entire day. Docks are reserved for Friday & Saturday for your convenience.

Escort boat fees should be paid to Oceanside Outrigger Canoe Club at registration. Oceanside Outrigger will provide escort boat captains with their compensation, a delicious lunch, and some snacks. The first 20 boat drivers get a custom t-shirt!

NOTE: Please treat your escort boat drivers well. They are donating their time to help make this outrig-ger canoe event a success.

Important details• NO glass, alcohol, or dogs on the beach.• The beach has picnic tables, barbecue grills, gazebos, restrooms,showers, and phones.• If you bring your own barbecue, make sure it’s elevated off the ground and remove the coals or dispose of them in the hot-coal container at Harbor Lot 12 on Harbor Beach, or in a fire ring.• Overnight camping is allowed in the Harbor Beach area in Lot 12.
