OBITUARY John W. Kearney September 15,1904 - October 6,1997

John W. Kearney, 93, of St. Peters- burg, Florida, passed away Monday, October 6, 1997, in St. Petersburg.

Mr. Kearney was born September 15,1904, in England.

He was a resident of Eagle Lake from 1931-1949.

Mr. Kearney retired in 1969 from Sante Fe Railroad as a master me- chanic. He was a resident of Galveston until 1984 when he moved to St. Pe-

tersburg. He was preceded in death by his

wife, Ottillia Kearney. His survivors include his daugh-

ter, Mary K. Yennie of St. Petersburg; his sisters, Kate Benson and Elizabeth Kearney of Galveston; a brother Mike Kearney of Waco; four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Sympathy is extended to the fam- ily in their loss.

Special presentations of the Clo- ver Award were made during the banquet to representatives of the Eagle Lake Headlight, Banner Press Newspaper, Weimar Mercury and Colorado County Citizen and to KULM Radio for their active support of the 4-H program.
