Item 355-04 – 6¢ Empire airmail to Tanganyika – 1938, 6¢ Pictorial (C5) tied by roller cancel on cover from Beebe Que paying 6¢ per ½ oz Empire airmail rate to Tanganyika. It is a late usage but the replacement stamp of the Mufti Issue was not issued until June 15, 1938. Unrequired auxiliary ‘’please advise your correspondence that the letter rate from Canada is 6¢ per half once’’. $150.00 SOLD

The French word “Jusqu’à”generally is considered to mean “as far as” or “up to”. Jusqu’à bars by themselves can have multiple meanings, but all seem to suggest that the request for airmail service,as indicated by an airmail etiquette or an airmail stamp, was either partially or completely unfulfilled.
