Kaaru kiira-kiiruntu parpina other lands from come we “and from all the lands on earth we come”
From Miss Yarwood, who
is in Japan
Good Luck in your Exams from Japan.
Miss Yarwood would like to wish the Year 12 stu-
dents all the best luck in their upcoming HSC ex-
ams. This is just one moment in your life but you
should meet each moment with only your best. So
study hard, ask questions, have a cuppa when
you're stressed and give it your best shot.
Ganbatte! (Good Luck)
Thinking of you all,
Amelia
On Sunday Rick Ball and Renay flew to Sydney with Telicia, Brooke and Whittney to attend
the Djurali Youth Art Careers Workshop in Sydney. This is a great opportunity for the girls to
gain valuable knowledge and skills.
Last night we welcomed our visitors from Lindfield East Primary School (LEPS) who arrived
on the Explorer train. The students had a tour of our school this morning, followed by a town
tour and then a River Lady boat ride. Tonight they will watch the sunset out at the Lookout.
Tomorrow they will visit Kinchega and do some activities with our students. In week 7 this
term LEPS will return the hospitality to MCS when we visit for the School Spectacular excur-
sion.
This morning I waved goodbye to Fiula and Susan as they boarded the train to Sydney. Fiula is
representing the Barrier team in Shot Put at the NSW PSSA State Athletics Championships.
Well done Fiula and the best of luck for your event on Thursday!
Tomorrow the school will be visited by the Tour Da Country (TDC) cycling team. Tour Da
Country is an annual bike ride that attempts to raise the profile and awareness of Aboriginal
health in a range of communities and also celebrating reconciliation. Tour Da Country 2017,
"The Red Dust Tour" will be stopping in Walgett (10/10) Brewarrina (11/10) Bourke (12/10)
Cobar (13/10) Wilcannia (16/10) Broken Hill (17/10) Menindee (18/10). All up it is 965km of
great riding. TDC will visit our school to speak to the students about our journey, and the im-
portance of health and fitness.
Thank you to the parents that turned up for the meeting on the 2018-2020 School Plan last
week. We will be having another evening session for parents/community who were unable to
attend. There will be more information in next week’s newsletter.
Good luck to the HSC students sitting exams this week and for the next couple of weeks!
Until next week,
