NATIONAL GATHERING OF GRADUATE STUDENTS
IN ABORIGINAL HEALTH RESEARCH

Algonquin TerritoryThe National Gathering of Graduate Students in Aboriginal Health Research (NGGS) is an annual meeting for student researchers and graduate students in Indigenous health. The Gathering provides a mentorship and capacity building forum for students, and facilitates student networking opportunities with community and academic researchers. Students will have opportunities to present and discuss their research and attend skill-building workshops.
The theme for this year’s NGGS is “Reconciliation: Resurgence of Strong Indigenous Voices Throughout Health Research”. In addition, the Gathering is taking place during Men’s Health Week, therefore submissions related to Reconciliation and/or Mens’ Health for First Nations, Inuit, or Métis are encouraged.
ABSTRACT submissions are due May 18, 2016Submit via the regisration link
Abstracts should be submitted on the abstract submission form and be less than 250 words. In addition, the form contains other fields regarding your research project. Please fill out to the best of your ability. You may upload one additional page if you do not have enough room on the form. Graduate students with accepted abstracts will present their research including community partnerships, data collection, results and dissemination, and knowledge translation. Abstracts will be peer-reviewed, scored and selected for invitation to present by a committee comprised of graduate/doctoral students and staff from national organizations in Aboriginal health research.
