Inter Tribal Sports: The Rattle 2019 AUGUST EDITION UPCOMING EVENTS August 10 Barona Gathering August 16th Cross Country & Soccer Uniform Order Due at 12pm & Soccer Team Registration Due August 16-18 Rincon Fiesta August 24 Cross Country Camp at Pala August 30 -September 1 49th Annual Barona Powwow September 6 San Diego Padres Native American Night at Petco Park September 10 2019 LA84 Foundation Summit September 14 Cross Country Opening Day at Pala September 21 Soccer Camp at San Pasqual September 27 California Indian Day Office Closed GROUP OUTING: ITS BEACH DAY On July 19th, ITS had their first beach day at the beautiful Torrey Pines State Beach. We had over 130 community members from over 12 different tribes/organizations. The day consisted of community members playing in the ocean, playing in fun games, participating in a watermelon eating contest, and much more. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the day and we look forward to putting this event on again next year. October 5 Soccer Opening Day October 26 Cross Country Championships at San Pasqual CAMPO'S 24th ANNUAL STAR GATHERING On July 20th, ITS attended Campo's 24th Annual Star Gathering at their Softball Field. We got the community moving through our fun carnival games, promoted our upcoming events, gave out snacks and water.

July28thatSoboba.While gameswerebeingplayed,wehadourfamouscarnivalwheelandwater& snacks
at our Rez Dog Refreshment booth.
At the end of the day, the winners for this year’s single elimination style softball championship tournament were: La Jolla for A-League Championship (Top),
Rincon for B-League Championship (Bottom Left), and Pechanga for C-League Championship (Bottom Right).
We would like to thank our coaches, parents, and
community for volunteering their time and energy! We would also like to thank Steve Lopez and Andy Silvas,
the ITS Board Members, for all of their help and support in coordinating this event.
We will like to give a special thanks to the Soboba Band of Luiseño Indians for the use of their fields.
