In 2015, the City of Fairview Heights Parks and Recrea on will be proceeding with the renova on of the Evere> Moody Park pavilion area. All pavilions at the park will be involved in some way and therefore will be unavailable for reserva ons during this me. Tenta vely, we are expec ng to resume taking reserva ons on September 1, 2015. In the event that construc on is complet-ed earlier than expected, we will place no fica ons through the media and on the City of Fairview Heights website at www.coW.org. Please note that the playground, walking trail, baseball fields and sand volleyball courts will be available during the construc on process. We will s ll take pavilion reserva- ons at Pleasant Ridge Park and Old Lincoln Trail Park star ng in January.

The city maintains approximately 90 miles of streets. During a winter storm, two passable lanes will be cleared on all roadways. The street crew will con- nue to keep main thoroughfares, hills, and bridges cleared while proceeding to clear neighborhood streets. When the storm has subsided, the street crew will clear the roads from curb to curb or shoulder to shoulder. While clearing roads, snow from the plows will most likely pile into driveways and entrances. Although this causes an inconvenience for the resident or business owner, it is unavoidable and should be expected. The City’s street crews will not clear driveways, entrances, sidewalks, or private property. How can you help dur-ing a winter storm? Do not place snow from driveways or parking lots in the roadway. Do not park on the roadway when winter weather is in the fore-cast. The street crews are working hard to clear the streets so if possible, please do not drive on the streets un l they are cleared. Thank you.
