The next few months are busy
times for Psi State. Right after
our January meeting is an
opportunity for you to attend
State Executive Board in Macon.
The last time Executive Board
met, Tau was represented with
five members. Maybe we can
have a repeat performance--or
better! Also, note that Psi State
Convention is coming in April.
This bi-annual event is also held
in Macon. Lastly, DKG members
from all over the Southeast will
convene for the Regional
Conference. Start locally--see
you in Blackshear--and then
travel with us! Lots of fun!

The fall in south Georgia is quite lovely. Having grown up in south Florida, the changes throughout the year were not
so evident. In fact, I believe there were four official seasons: 1) hot, 2) hotter, 3) still hot, and 4) “Why exactly do I live down here?” Nevertheless, I was
grateful for the warmth--of the place and of the people.
Here in our area of Georgia, warmth
abounds, even as the temperature dips. You, too, are grateful for many things and people in your lives. Members
attending the November meeting took a moment to express thanks.
•I am thankful for good friends, good health, and great DKG leadership.
•I am thankful for having the opportunity that we can all come together as professionals outside the
educational setting.
•I am thankful for my family, church, and friends.
•I am thankful for family, friends, P.E.S.,
freedom...
•I am thankful for the women in DKG who have impacted my life.
•I am thankful for all present/past members of our military for their efforts and sacrifices to maintain our
nations’ freedom!
Beyond your gratitude, as women of DKG, you yourselves are full of greatness. Your dedication and diligence
add so much to our profession and to our organization. You truly are grateful...and great-full!
Delta Kappa Gamma members are grateful and great-full.

It’s official! Delta Kappa Gamma, Psi State Day at the Capitol is Tuesday, February 10, 2015!
Representative Nikki Randall of Macon and Representative Amy Carter of Valdosta have agreed to sponsor Delta Kappa Gamma Day at the Capitol. We are expecting support from Representative Keisha Waites of Atlanta and have reached out to Senator David Lucas and Senator John Kennedy.
This is a busy time for the legislature, of course, as Governor Deal has been sworn in and the Legislative Season 2015 is off and running!
