The new Land Cruiser further enhances its reputation with more modern and robust exterior styling. Every line serves a clear purpose: starting

with the bonnet which has been shaped to improve downward visibility at the centre; the

headlights and grille cooling openings positioned higher to maximise both protection and wading depth; while bi-tone, dark grey machined-face 19" alloy wheels create a more dynamic profile.

The rear now includes a redesigned light cluster with an LED brake light.

TThe Land Cruiser’s unique mix of functionality, craftsmanship and attention to detail ensures the

most rewarding journey on any route. On-board comfort has been enhanced through the adoption

of front-seat ventilation*, a rear passenger adjustable ventilation* system, triple-zone

automatic air conditioning* and reverse-tilting door mirrors§.

2. CENTRE CONSOLE The centre console features the Toyota Touch® 2 with Go◊

multimedia system, and more ergonomic, functionally

grouped switches that are separated into specific zones. The

drivetrain-, driving- and comfort-related switchgear are easy

to use in all on- and off-road conditions.

3. REAR PASSENGER AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL PANEL The rear passengers can adjust the temperature to their

individual needs to experience optimal comfort at all times.

1. TFT SCREEN WITH TYRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM (TPMS)

The 4.2" TFT multi-information screen in the

combi-meter provides drivers with comprehensive

vehicle and infotainment data including safety

features such as TPMS. TPMS allows you to keep

a check on the pressure of each individual tyre

(including a full size spare wheel**) via the display.

Should the pressure be too low, a warning

symbol lights up.

KINETIC DYNAMIC SUSPENSION SYSTEM (KDSS) ON-ROAD§◊KDSS is an electronically modulated hydraulic suspension

system. On-road, highly responsive suspension with

conventional anti-roll bars provides unrivalled steering

agility and ride comfort by optimising the effect of the

front and rear stabilisers.

TRAILER SWAY CONTROL (TSC)** TSC suppresses any trailer sway caused by wind, bumpy

roads or steering etc. whenever you are towing. With

sensors detecting yaw, acceleration and steering, TSC

uses deceleration control and yaw moment to limit sway.

The slip indicator bleeps when TSC is activated, and to

warn drivers behind, the brake lights are illuminated.

TORSEN REAR LIMITED SLIP DIFFERENTIAL (LSD) LOCK◊The new Torsen Rear LSD lock helps improve stability

and traction on rough roads and slippery surfaces. When

cornering, it limits the torque difference between the left

and right wheels generated by engine braking, thereby

achieving greater vehicle stability.

Towing your equipment, avoiding potholes, battling rain, snow and ice – no other SUV can

offer the new Land Cruiser’s unique combination of on-road dynamics and off-road performance. It is equipped with a Drive Mode Select System*,

Terrain View gives you an instant overview of your surroundings, including Panoramic View. There is also a choice of three rear differential

variants including the new Torsen Rear Limited Slip Differential (LSD)* lock for enhanced stability

and grip. The Multi-Terrain Select system (MTS)* in combination with Crawl Control automatically regulates vehicle settings to suit the conditions

BODY ON FRAME*Land Cruiser’s robust body on frame construction uses high

tensile sheet steel for a lightweight design, which maintains

maximum strength and rigidity. It also isolates the cabin

from suspension impacts for greater comfort even in rough

road conditions.

KINETIC DYNAMIC SUSPENSION SYSTEM (KDSS)§ OFF-ROAD*KDSS allows the wheels to remain firmly on the ground and

provide greater traction and stability on the roughest terrain.

HILL-START ASSIST CONTROL (HAC)*◊/DOWNHILL ASSIST CONTROL (DAC)*◊ HAC helps to ensure a smooth start on steep inclines and

prevents the vehicle from rolling back. When descending

off-road, DAC applies individual brakes to keep the

vehicle stable.

ADAPTIVE VARIABLE SUSPENSION (AVS)* **AVS continuously adapts shock absorber damping at the

front and rear in response to the road conditions and

automatically selects the most appropriate ride mode:

Comfort, Normal or Sport.

LANE DEPARTURE ALERTUsing a camera to detect the lane markings in the road

ahead, Toyota Safety Sense’s Lane Departure Alert will give

the driver audible and visual warnings if the vehicle starts

to deviate from its lane without the turn indicator being

applied – the driver can then take corrective action.

AUTOMATIC HIGH BEAMToyota Safety Sense’s Automatic High Beam is designed to

optimise visibility during night driving for all road users.

A camera detects the lights of oncoming vehicles and leading

traffic whilst also monitoring the brightness of streetlights.

It switches automatically between high and low beam for

safer night-time driving.

ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROLToyota Safety Sense’s Adaptive Cruise Control keeps a

minimum preset distance from the vehicle in front. If this

distance falls, the system reduces the speed. If the distance

increases again, it will gradually accelerate until the vehicle

returns to your chosen cruising speed.

ROAD SIGN ASSISTToyota Safety Sense’s Road Sign Assist monitors the

road signs ahead, displaying useful information such as

the current speed limit or overtaking restrictions in clear

view on the new colour TFT cockpit display. The system

also provides a visual and acoustic warning if you are not

following the road sign indication.

PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM WITH PEDESTRIAN DETECTIONToyota Safety Sense’s Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian

Detection combines a millimetre-wave radar with a camera

to detect other vehicles in the road ahead. When the

possibility of a collision is detected the driver is alerted with

audio and visual warnings and brake assistance is activated.

If the driver fails to brake in time the brakes automatically

engage to prevent or mitigate a collision. In addition to

vehicle detection, early detection of pedestrians is also

made possible.

The Land Cruiser is fitted with Toyota Safety Sense*, a set of active safety technologies

designed to help prevent or mitigate collisions across a wide range of traffic situations. It includes a Pre-Collision System (PCS) with

Pedestrian Detection, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Departure Alert (LDA), Automatic High Beam (AHB) and Road Sign Assist (RSA).

The Protection Pack helps keep your Toyota Land Cruiser in showroom condition. The rear bumper protection plate is designed to guard the rear bumper paintwork against

scratching when sliding heavy or awkward loads into the boot, while the boot liner prevents damage to the boot carpet. These are combined with side mouldings with a

Multi-Terrain Select (MTS) Tackle any situation with a choice of four terrain modes – ‘Rock’, ‘Mogul’, ‘Loose rock’ or ‘Mud & sand’. The vehicle’s throttle, braking and traction control systems are automatically modified to suit the off-road conditions, providing maximum traction and control.

All Wheel Drive (AWD) In normal road conditions, drive is through the front wheels, but on loose or slippery surfaces the system automatically and continuously distributes the torque between front and rear wheels. This optimises traction and driving stability and also maximises fuel economy.

Multi-Terrain Monitor (MTM) MTM allows you to see the road around you, helping you stay on your intended course and avoid potential danger. The screen displays a choice of six live images from four exterior cameras showing your surroundings either side of the car, behind and in front of you, as well as underneath your vehicle. By simply pressing the multi-function switch on the steering wheel, you’ll have an instant understanding of your surroundings.

Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS) KDSS is an electronically modulated hydraulic suspension system. On-road, highly responsive suspension with conventional anti-roll bars provides unrivalled steering agility and ride comfort. Drive off-road and the wheels remain firmly on the ground and provide greater traction and stability on the roughest terrain.

Body on Frame High tensile sheet metal is used to maintain a lightweight design and ensure strength and rigidity. Sound-absorbing and noise-cancelling materials contribute to a peaceful drive.

Panoramic View MonitorPanoramic View Monitor helps to make parking and manoeuvring safer and easier. It combines images from four cameras to create a near-360º 3D view of the surroundings. Displayed clearly on the Toyota Touch® 2 multimedia system screen, the driver can choose from two viewing modes: Moving View and See-through View to check for any hidden obstacles or dangers.

Hill-start Assist Control (HAC) HAC helps to ensure a smooth start on steep inclines by applying the brakes for up to 2 seconds after the brake pedal is released. This prevents the vehicle from rolling back. It is activated by pushing the brake pedal harder after stopping as long as the transmission shift lever is in any forward gear position.

Crawl Control Crawl Control maintains constant and stable low-speed off-road progress. The driver doesn’t have to worry about controlling the throttle and brake, and can instead concentrate on steering.

Downhill Assist Control (DAC) When descending off-road, DAC applies individual brakes to keep the vehicle stable and maintain its speed between 3 and 4 km/h. DAC works in forward or reverse, and when activated it requires no pedal input from the driver.

Active Traction Control (A-TRC) Designed for on- and off-road, A-TRC helps to keep you moving in the most adverse conditions. This intelligent traction control applies brake force to one wheel that may be slipping, while distributing power evenly between the three that are not.

Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) AVS dampens all four shock absorbers independently. This provides you with outstanding ride comfort, handling and stability. What’s more, you can choose from Comfort, Normal and Sport modes to suit your preferences and road conditions.

Toyota Safety SenseToyota Safety Sense adds advanced active safety systems for an even safer and more relaxed drive.
