13.2m Ka-Band Antenna/RF System Overview

• Antenna/RF System Features:• An elevation over azimuth Ka-Band all-steel antenna structure with

high stiffness turntable bearing• 13.2m high precision surface reflector with counterweight arms• Subreflector and quadripod structure • A circular polarized Ka-Band cassegrain 4-port Tx/Rx feed

assembly with TE21 tracking coupler (monopulse) and feed rain blower

• Large 9-foot diameter hub with five foot roll up access door • Redundant HVAC system for antenna hub• Uplink system with 1:1 redundant HPA & Upconverter system• Uplink waveguide network: waveguide assembly from HPA output

to Antenna feed assembly with high power load and offline test switch

• 500W CW linearized TWT amplifiers (HPAs), 1-for-1 HPA redundancy

• Dual channel power meter for transmit monitoring• Calibrated transmit monitor couplers and receive inject couplers for

IOT and CSM
