As President of International Federation on Ageing (IFA), I have immense pleasure to invite you all to the 12th International Federation of Ageing Global Conference (IFA 2014) to be organized by Heritage Foundation in the city of pearls Hyderabad, India. IFA Global Conferences are known for high quality research papers and attendance from focused professionals from all over world .The Conference provides a multidisciplinary and intersectoral forums to enable networking and the sharing of information related to new research, practice and evidence based programs and policies.
The International Federation on Ageing (IFA) is an international non-governmental organization with a membership base of NGOs, the corporate sector, academia, government, and individuals spanning 73 countries. The IFA is a global point of connection to experts and expertise that together generating positive change for older people throughout the world. Stimulating, collecting, analyzing, and disseminating information on policies and practices that improve the quality of life of people as they age is at the core of our mission.
About IFA
About Heritage FoundationThe origin of the foundation can be traced back to 1994, when Sishrusha Health Management Trust was formed to fulfill the needs of the poor by assisting the educational, health, training, employment and income generation requirements. The trust later became known as Heritage Foundation which has, since then, focused on geriatric care. Programmes offered by the foundation include, Dial A Driver, Click@50, Food on Wheels, Call A Doctor and senior citizens clubs. The Foundations conducts many programmes to promote intergenerational amity, empowering the community through Golden Couples Contest, Grand Parents-Grand Children Bridge programmes and so on.

The foundation closely works with Heritage Medical Centre, the premier private Indian healthcare facility the elderly that has grown in size. The Heritage Eldercare Service a pioneer in providing service for the aged in India and caters to both, their physical and psychological needs, offering services in diverse fields – home healthcare and Kshetra, an Assisted and Independent Living facility to offer respite families and caregivers. Karuna School of Nursing offers a certificate in General Nursing under the Indian Nursing Council and every student is trained in geriatric nursing care.Dr. K.R.Gangadharan founded of Heritage Foundation aims to offer healthcare facilities to the elderly with high quality service at affordable prices in India to those who are not always able to pay spiraling high costs of healthcare. A particularly unique initiative is the training of youth from poorer and disadvantaged households to offer bedside homecare assistance to the elderly. Several thousands of young people have participated in this program. The program is done in collaboration with the Governments.
