Dear reader,

I am a senior approaching my last semester at Auburn University. Now, having been here

for some time and on the verge of leaving, it is interesting to look back on my time at Auburn. I

can recount my very first day as an Auburn Tiger, stepping into my first class (Spanish I) in the

Haley Center. Quite different times from now; I have learned, changed and grown so much.

Nonetheless, thinking back on my time at Auburn leads me to thinking about the things that

Auburn has offered me to make my experience here so special. For many of us it’s the football

games, or the band parties, or the spring breaks that have made us appreciate our college

experience. I too have enjoyed my fair share of those things and have appreciated them right

alongside all of you.

Interestingly enough, however, there is one thing about each semester at Auburn that has

been particularly memorable to me. After our freshman year, one of my best friends, Christen

Wright, joined the Auburn University Singers. This is a highly select group of 18 men and 18

women who are students at Auburn and have gift of performing songs and dances. Since then my

friends and I have enjoyed gathering in a large group, going to the BP to get snacks and traipsing

down to the Tellfair Peet Theater the watch Christen perform. Each spring and fall we go, sit on

the second row and enjoy a live, good, solid performance by this talented crew.

Every semester I go and every semester I leave having thoroughly enjoyed myself. The

group is talented and can truly entertain. I do wish that every Auburn student would go, at least

once, and watch their fellow students. Yes it’s $7 and an hour and a half out of your day, but I

can tell you it is certainly worth it. I started going for christen and ended up enjoying it way more

than I ever thought I would.

So, my dear fellow students, I urge you to call the ticket office (334/844-8780) and

reserve your seats now for the 2008 Fall Show. The show will be from Saturday, December 6-

Monday, December 8. I do feel it would be well worth your time. You will not regret it.
