Africa’s Housekeepers League of Champions
Africa Hospitality Awards
GLOBAL BRANDS TRUST THE HOTEL SHOW TO GROW THEIR BUSINESS LIVE FEATURES FOR 2018
Housekeeping teams are a vital part of any hotel, hospital or cruise line but how often do we get to see them in action?
This year’s 2018 Hotel Show Africa will debut a new competition that puts housekeepers in the spotlight and their skills to the test, as teams go to head to head in Africa’s Housekeepers League of Champions. This live competition sees teams racing each other throughout the three days in two staged hotel rooms. Competing against the clock to transform the rooms back to finished standard – in just 15 minutes, and that includes collecting their cleaning products and trolley. Judges will score each team in each heat until there are two finalists.
Don’t miss this exciting, fast paced and highly competitive feature and be there to see which housekeeping team comes out as best in Africa.
The Africa Hospitality Awards are staged during Africa Hospitality Week celebrating excellence across Southern Africa’s hospitality sector.
Hotels, resorts and restaurants that have demonstrated leading performance, innovation and excellence over the last year will be showcased during the ceremony, which will attract hundreds of industry professionals. Winners in each of the categories, which range from Luxury Hotel of the Year to Best Use of Technology, will then be crowned by a distinguished judging panel of industry leaders and rightfully stand as benchmarks for further innovation and excellence over the coming year.
An interesting exchange between local and international experts of tourism and hospitality about the potential of Southern Africa.

A LOOK BACK AT THE 2017 CONFERENCE
The Hospitality Leadership Forum is a series of spontaneous and forthright panel discussions on the key strategic opportunities and challenges shaping the hospitality industry at this time of accelerated expansion and change.
Each day consists of a series of panel discussions addressing a specific issue of concern and featuring at least 3 senior industry experts.
Each panelist will have 5 minutes at the start of the discussion to introduce themselves and their basic position on the parent topic. The discussion will then open out amongst the whole panel, guided by an informed and independent moderator and conclude with questions from the audience.
