Relevant activities in the frame of the JSIP, launched in 2009

11 JSIP projects approved

LoI NEDO-CDTI focused on the promotion of the Smart Grid Technology.

First NEDO´s Demonstration Project in Spain: Smart Community.

2 Technology Cooperation Missions composed by Spanish companies to Japan in the frame of the Innovation Japan: Smart Grid Technology in Oct. 2010 and Healthcare Technology in Oct 2011.

Several Technological Workshops and Site visits in fields of Renewable Energies (Madrid, 2012), High Temperature Superconductivity (Madrid, 2013), FACTs and Superconductivity Technology (Kawasaki, 2013), Smart Energy (Madrid, 2014), Automotive Industry (Kawasaki, 2015). Site visits in Spain and Japan to: CECRE, Gemasolar, PSA, REE Substation, CRESPI, TEPCO Substation, University of Tokyo.

CDTI Financial aid for Spanish companies

Type: Soft loan + Grant (Non Refundable Portion of the loan) Coverage: Max.75% of project budget Non refundable: 30 % of CDTI Loan (*) Period: 10 years(grace period -3years) Interest: one-year Euribor (fix)

Technology Field: any field proposed by applicants

Apply: through out the year(**)

(*) Spanish companies can enjoy the privileged NRP (30 %), also when Japanese companies do not have financial support from NEDO (self-financing or have the other public support)(**) Three cut-off dates, Mar 31, Jun 30, Oct 31, are established for those projects in which the Japanese partner will carry out the project with their own fund.
