Hey church family,

When we moved to Bradenton, I knew a few major adjustments would be in store for me. The first would be the summer heat. WOW! It is already hot. And, before you tell me… I know that we are just getting started. So, don’t worry. I’ve mentally prepared myself for the next few months of heat, humidity, and that my car will feel like a pizza oven. LOL.

Another adjustment that I knew would be necessary is the attendance pattern for people in our area. My ministry friends told me that when “snowbird season” ends that the church attendance will change dramati-cally. It is a pattern that we can, on the one hand, be very thankful for friends who faithfully attend, serve, and generously give while they are in town. On the other hand, we can allow their time away to become a temptation to say, “Well… the attendance will pick back up when they get back to Florida.” In the issue of church attendance, our perspective will drive our actions.

I want to encourage you to hold on to an urgency in regards to who is attending Life Groups, worship services, and other disciple-making gatherings of our church. The great answer to whenever our church attendance dips is found in one simple action: personal-ly inviting someone to church. It has been and will continue to be the #1 way that we can get others involved in our church. So, let me ask you to commit to the following:

Invite someone every week to your Life Group.

Invite a new family every week to a Sunday Worship Service.

Find at least three people to invite their children to attend Vacation Bible School on June 5-8.

We have the greatest news possible and we are privileged to share it with the world. Let’s engage our community, share the love of Jesus, and make disciples!
