On April 30, Delta Air Lines (DAL) bought a 185,000 barrel per day (bpd)
oil refinery in Trainer, Pa. from
ConocoPhillips (COP)
Delta is the largest fuel consumer in the USA, the largest fuel consumer of any
private entity
Delta spent $12 billion on fuel in 2011, $3 billion more than in 2010
Delta expects 2012 fuel cost to be about $14 billion
The refinery will secure 80% of our fuel demand in the United States
Produced first jet fuel for Delta subsidiary on September 25th, 2012

Delta opened a new Delta Sky Club inside of the new international terminal.
It features 12,000 square feet of space and seating for more than 300 in a
centralized location on the atrium level
of Concourse F.
This Sky Club will be a first in system to feature a mezzanine level, which
includes spectacular views of the FAA
tower and E concourse.
Amenities include eight shower suites, a full-service bar with complimentary
beverages in addition to premium wines,
spirits and cocktails for purchase
