    MLB FUTURES ALL-STAR GAME

    Seattle Mariners minor league pitcher Taijuan Walkerand shortstop Brad Millerhave been selected to play for the U.S. squad in the 15annual SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game to be played July 14 at Citi Field in New York City (11 a.m. PT/ESPN2, ESPN2 HD and MLB.coMLB Network Radio) as part of All-Star weekend.This is Walkers second consecutive selection on the All-Star Futures roster.

    Tacoma Rainiers hitting coach Howard Johnson will be part of the U.S. coaching staff.

    The Mariners have had 30 selections to the Futures Game since its first beginning in 1999. Three players on the current 25-man rostplayed in the Futures Game in the past: Felix Hernandez (2004), Kendrys Morales (2005) and Michael Saunders (2007). Hernand(All-Star: 2009, 2011-12; Futures Game: 2004) is one of 99 players to have competed n both the SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game and t

Walker (5.0,2,0,0,2,8,WP)recorded his 2nd win AAA win, allowing only 2 hits and striking out 8 batters in 5.0 innings. LH BrianMoran (2.2,2,1,1,0,1,HR) allowed a solo home run in the top of the 8

    TRANSACTIONS: The Rainiers will add INF Ty Kelly to the roster after he was traded from theOrioles organization on Sunday in exchange for OF Eric Thames. Kelly hit .283 (80x283) with 51 runs scored, 21 doubles, 2 triples, 1 homrun and 47 RBI in 72 games with AA Bowie in the Eastern League. At the time of the trade he ranked amongst the Eastern League leaderin runs scored (2nd, 51), doubles (T2nd, 21) and walks (3rd, 51). Kelly was originally selected by the Orioles in the 13th round of the 2009First Year Player Draft out of the University of California, Davis. In his first 5 professional seasons in the minor leagues, he is batting .283(545x1924) with 287 runs, 98 doubles, 11 triples, 21 home runs and 239 RBI in 515 games. In 2012, Kelly led all Orioles farmhands in hits(154) and total bases (220).
