Tell us about yourself.I have lived in Napa since age three andgraduated from Napa High School in1965. Married Merrilee and was draftedinto Army a month later. I am a PurpleHeart Vietnam Vet. I earned my degree

and teaching credential from FresnoState; started teaching in Napa the sameyear as the Commodores wife and re-tired in 1999. We have five children whoall live and work in Napa.

Main goal for NVYC in 2010?My goal is to help my committee chairsbe successful.

Tell us about your boat.We downsized three years ago from a43 Bayliner to a 30 Mainship. Thedown side is that we have fewer parties

    as space is now limited.

What do you like best about theNVYC?The best of NVYC is combining socialties and cruising ties.

Favorite port during cruising sea-son?What I enjoy is visiting new ports. Myfavorite would be Driftwood YC. Wealways have a great time there and they bend over backwards to make our staycomfortable.

Most fun on the water?Weve had some great times in Baja withfriends and family.

Anything youd change at NVYC?Ive seen considerable change since2000. There are always differences ofopinion but as long as we move forwardthere will always be constant change.

(Ed. Note: Bill served as Commodorein 2002)

Tell us about yourself.I grew up in Napa. After graduation, Iserved in the US Navy Submarine

Service. I owned and operated Silver-ado Furniture on Lincoln Ave. for 25years. I retired in 2003. I have twochildren and have been married toLinda for 20 years.

Main goal for NVYC in 2010?The main goals for the year 2010 areto complete the galley, finish the leaseand expand the docks. It is importantto keep our membership enrollmentup.

    Tell us about your boat?

My boat is a blue-hulled 38 Sea RaySundancer. It has two super chargedCummins diesel engines and cruisesefficiently at 22 knots. I love it!What do you like best aboutthe NVYC?Without a doubt-----the PEOPLE! Ithas to be the friendliest group Iveever been around.

Favorite port during cruisingseason?Petaluma has to be the winner withso much to see and do within easywalking distance.

Most fun on the water?Other than very personal stuff, an-choring out at Three River Reach.

Anything youd like to changeat the NVYC?Now that were almost finished withthe galley, Id like to see us use a chefto cater special dinners for us.

Tell us about yourself.I am a partner in an insurance opera-tion that manages programs for insur-ance companies. My wife Seeta and Ihave lived in Hiddenbrooke for 10years. We have three children, Jared,Warren and Nadia, who reside in thearea.

Main goal for NVYC in 2010?Expand the membership.

Tell us about your boat. Our boat is an Island Packet 41 MotorSailor. If I had my choice of any boat, the Maltese Falcon would be a good

    start.

What do you like best aboutthe NVYC?The friendships we have developedover the years.

Favorite port during cruisingseason?I am not much of a red wine drinker --oops-- you meant that kind of port!Monterey is our favorite but we didntmake it this year. There is lots of activ-ity around the harbor and much to do.

Most fun on the water?Since this is a PG publication, my sec-ond most fun thing was sailing my boatthrough the Caribbean after exiting thePanama Canal.

Anything youd like to changeat the NVYC?The club is great the way it is withmaybe some physical improvementsand the infusion of new members.
