A ten-minute pause for prayer and reflections take place in the chapel at noon during the week. Evensong is sung at 5.30pm, Monday to Friday (with Benediction on Friday). Tongues of Angels? Learning the language of the Liturgy: Our Monday night Discussion Group on the signs, symbols, prayers, and scriptures from which the fabric of the Mass is woven will ‘conclude’ over the Mondays of 2nd and 3rd Week. We will then turn our faces toward Lent to consider how liturgy and worship shape the life of Christ in us in practical and profound ways and equip us for the spiritual pilgrimage of Lent and of life with the help of David Fagerberg’s On Liturgical Asceticism. 6-7:15pm Monday of Weeks 2-8 in the Chapel and Hood Room (21 Jan to 4 March).Recollection Lectures: The first lecture of this term's Recollection series will be given by Kallistos Ware, Assistant Bishop in the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Thyateira and Great Britain, sometime Spalding Lecturer of Eastern Orthodox Studies at the University of Oxford and Fellow of Pembroke College, Oxford. He will speak to us on The Eucharistic Sacrifice in Orthodox Theology: 12th century discussions. This talk will be on Wednesday 23rd January (2nd Week) at 4:00pm in the Ursell Room, with tea & coffee being served from 3:30pm upstairs in the Hood Room.The Weekly G&T&Tea: Come and join us to round off the week over a G&T, or tea, or two, from 6.15pm on Fridays throughout the

term in the Hood Room.Compline by Candlelight: Compline is a quiet reflective service for the ending of the day.
